I'm just wondering: Does the Pacifica Tribune exist solely for the purpose of promoting Nancy Hall and Ian Butler? There are a few other names I could add to this list but I'm sure that all of you out there who are even slightly paying attention get the idea. Ask yourself when was the last time the Tribune ran a promotional piece on anyone outside of the PSD anti-growth, extreme environmetalism crowd? Elaine Larsen and her predecessor, Chris Hunter, have propagated a long tradition of political bias. For those in Pacifica looking for the truth, look elsewhere. The Trib does, however, make excellent fish wrap.

Local rags are local rags...flaming ones at that!

Half the time the articles originate from anonymous blogs. Smear journalism at best.

How's that biodiesel thing workin out for ya, Nancy? Guess you're better off to stay in your very limited element -- blasting us with whiny, stuck-in-the-60s, irrelevant protest "songs". Hey, I've got an old Dylan song you should consider mutilating with your talent:

Nobody gets what she sought
Tonight as I stand on an empty lot
Everybody knows
The emperor has no clothes
But lately all I see are Curios
Who have fallen into an ignominious ditch.
She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She takes her cut just like a woman, yes, she does
And she whines just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little B-I-T-C-H.

amazing how much press Vreeland and Hall got for their "innovative" public/private biodiesel boondoggle before it all fell apart. now Elaine won't touch the truth with a 10 foot frog catching pole.

The entire pretense of "A Conversation with Nancy Hall..." is absurd. Have you ever looked into the eyes of certain humans only to be returned with that vacant, nobody's home gaze? Clearly, that's our Nance. A simple "woof"? Perhaps. But an entire conversation? Gimme a break! I poop on a conversation with Nancy Hall!

If a pipe breaks in your house..you call a plumber

If your light switch doesn't work..you call an electrican

If your car doesn't start..you call a mechanic

If you want a bio-diesel plant built..you call Chevron

If you want someone to write a song..You call Nancy Hall

Write a song? Dylan, Bowie, Wilson, Taupin, McCartney...

Tell a joke? Newhart, Leno...

Drive a bread truck? Dennis Anderson

Destroy a city's economy, obliterate the personal liberties of its citizenry and enable the most inept and polarizing City Council in the history of that city? Give me Hall, Howard and Butler for starters, Curtis for the main course, and the entire Pacifica Enviro-mental Family for dessert.

how come nancy has been been quiet about the mess the biodiesel plant has become. oh, its a great idea, oh its my idea, oh its good for the environment, oh its good for the economy, oh its been in the paper 50 times, oh I am wearing a developer hat now, oh you can trust whole energy, oh all the critics are just bad group people trying to make council look bad ...

well at least this dismal failure has accomplished one positive thing: it got nan to shut the f**k up

as I recall, one recent City Council candidate does have a degree in Nuclear Engineering. you should ask him to build one. perhaps we can get Fred Flinstone, errr I mean Fred Howard to run the controls.
