I guarantee you that if Steppenwolf was close to selling out every show, there would be no tickets for 20 bucks. Same with Chicago Shakespeare or any other place doing good sales.
They're trying to turn "We can't sell enough tickets to our crummy shows at $50 each" into "We can sell out every ticket at $20 each".
That may be true. No Steppenwolf experience is worth fifty bucks. Maybe once upon a time, many years ago when they were consistently good, they were. Not any more.
