R&B queen Teena Marie leaves quite a legacy

LOS ANGELES - Teena Marie's last album, 'Congo Square,' was titled after a historical meeting place for slaves in New Orleans, featured a tribute to Martin Luther King's widow and also the song 'Black Cool,' written for President Barack Obama.

I'm sorry Teena Marie had died. But she was not all of that as an singer. And although I'm sorry Rick James is dead too, he was one of those Negroes who worked my last good nerves! He knew that Marie's voice was flat and off-key, but James was a super freak for the Ms. Lilly and Ms. Pearly Whites of the world. So what did that super freak do so that Marie didn't get her azz kicked by a real sister, he uses a fake persona to make it look like Marie can sing R&B and those dimwitted Negroes who don't know anything about real R&B music fell for the scam hook, line, and sinker!! But I knew that Marie wasn't a real sister the first time I heard her sing. Because she was singing offkey and her voice just sounded out of place like she didn't have any business singing R&B music in the first place. A real sister wouldn't be caught dead sounding like that! The same goes for Mariah Carey who can't sing either!! With her ugly azz! And oh GOD!! Do not get me started on that heifer Britney Spears!!! I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I refuse to pay to have a mosquito buzzing in my ears!! That little dizzy heifer honestly believe that her plain looking azz can sing!! Trying to sound R&B!! I do not think so, heifer! Talking about Britney Spears retired! She should have never started!!!

Prince did the same damn thing for only for mixed bw or nonblack women also. He never promoted a straight out black woman or a women with dark skin. Yet black women have supported and these types of racist, colorist black men for decades. We need to quit!

That's true, but Prince's mama was or is white, though. So white is a part of his culture. He can't change that! And Prince changed since he gotten older. He's 52 now. I seen him on one of those late night shows. He had 3 female backup singers with him on the show. Those 3 heifers were real cows. Big as houses! One of the backup singers was a white woman and the other 2 was dark-skinned black women!! And he was singing to some funky beat too. In the past 10 years, Prince have really changed his music style. His style has a kind of old school R&B flavor to it. He was feuding RCA records over his money and calling them racist, had "slave" written on his forhead, and talking about he was the artist who are formerly known as Prince. Prince crazy! With his little short munchkin self! LOL!!

I am not basing the fact that Prince's movie "Purple Rain" depicted his mother as being white. I am basing it on the countless times that Prince confess to that fact. And his mother is Italian American. That means that his mama is white! Regardless of her eithnicity, she still white!

I know about the recent rumors spreading that his mama is black. Some rumors are going around that says his mother is only 1/4 white which means that one of her grandparents was white. I even saw a recent photo of a light-skinned black woman who some people have been claiming is Prince's mama! But I am going by what Prince have stated, and by his facial features.

So I am not going to believe the hype until it's proven to me otherwise. In that photo that's going around, his supposed mama is darker than he is! His daddy is not a light-skinned black man. So you would think that he would be darker than his mama, instead of being lighter than the woman in that photo. That's why I believe him when he said that his mother is white.

My great-grandfather was white. Most of the people on my mother side of the family are light-skinned. My father and most of his people are some dark-skinned black folks. They are so black, they are blue! But depending of the time of the year, I have a dark carmel to milk chocolate kind of complexion! Some of my siblings are lighter than me, but not much!

It's a possibility that the bastard was lying, but why would a person of African descent lie about having a white mama if it wasn't true. When having a white mama is stigmatizing enough as it is? Did he think that it would help him reach a wider audience so that he could further his career and make more money? Did he think that it would make him seem more unique? Whatever!!

I checked out that website that you referred me to. And it is garbage!! It's less than garbage. Because with garbage, at least it's something!!

I agree, that Prince has matured and is more opened minded about his music and variety of people in his space. Sorry I disagree. His mother was a white woman only on the movie Purple Rain and maybe in his own mind but his parents John and Mattie where both African Americans. Mom Mattie as you will see below was a light skin AA and a white woman.

Like I have already written in another post, I am not basing the fact that in Purple Rain, Prince had a white mother! I do not recall ever seeing that movie in the first place! I am basing the information about Prince's mother on that the fact that Prince had stated several times that his mother was white and Italian. And like I have already stated, I know about the debate that's going on about Prince's mother being a light-skinned black woman. I have even seen the alleged photos of his mother! The recent information that I have read states that it is debatable about his mother! Why would Prince say that his mother is white when she's not! Unless Prince admit that his mother is not white, I not trying to pay attention to what everybody else is claiming unless they know Prince and his mother personally!! A lot of that garbage online is bull anyways!
