Mos Def reviewed at House of Blues

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Mos Def 's concert at a sold-out House of Blues on Sunday perfectly encapsulated the Brooklyn-born rapper's solo career: a blazing start followed by indeterminate stretches of waning focus.

The show would have been better had the 1300 person venue not had 2500 people. It would also be nice if HOB listed a show start time on the ticket and not a door open time. Doors open at 6:30pm and the opening act goes on at 9pm? Awful experience.

HOB ruined this show for me.

Uh'mayzin performance. Jay Electronica opened with a soulful-energetic act. Mos should add a 't' at the end of that part of his name b/c of what the fans got out of our support.
