Curious, what are the examples? The government can demonize anyone at any time, thus, those who bear arms must be ever vigilant.

Remember when millions of asians were rounded up and interred illegally? it was the people with guns that did not stand up for the constitution, but helped destroy it. also look at the mexican repatriationin the southwest, circa 1930's or so...

So can you find any examples of when the 2nd amendment right stopped tyranny by the US gov't against its citizens?

Every day of every week of every year, it's working. Your examples are the ones politicized and documented. Imagine how many of us would be interred if WE DIDN'T have weapons. This administration has done wonders to demonize and divide, guns are the only things keeping us from rounding one another up.

I don't think armed citizens are really any match for the U.S. Government. If he US Government ever decided to excersise tyranny against armed American citizens, they would easily do so. In other words, the U.S. government would easily defeat armed citizens if it came to that. The reason is simple. Ordinary citizens may have pistols, shotguns, even machine guns. But the U.S. govenment has tanks, fighter jets, and helicopter gunships. That is why the righ wing argument that an "armed populace" is a deterrent to government tyranny is absurd.

By the way...This is the same diversion you've been using for the past few posts...

Redirection is noted. If you'd like to dispute a real issue, put down the cheetos and pull a few of those braincells filled with melted cheese and beer malt together and try to form a TRUE statement and leave the wingnut sheep speak behind.

I will venture to guess that you will be able to do NOTHING but quote Beck, O'Reily, Hannity, or any of the Faux news dolts commentary verbatum.

I call that a baseless accusation in accordance with Saul Alinsky's rule number 5.
How about we look into your supposition of "misinformation" infecting the population. I've got a couple of questions for you.
Where exactly was Obama during the 7-hour battle between Al Qaeda and the stripped-down American security detatchment while the real-time video was being watched in the White House?
And;
Where will the money come from to pay for Obama's government?
And, another question that Joe BiteMe provokes...
What text in the Constitution gives the president the authority to issue edicts to the population as if the president can write his own laws?
... let the misinformation and execution of Saul Alinsky's rules begin....
You do know you're going to have to come to see us when the lights go out, don't you?

That way Obama bypass the constitution he hates so much!!! The same constitution that allowed him become president, like a cancer liberals kill their own country host.
When you look at liberals and Obama, you see them ignore our laws, the constitution and the bible. It is clear they do not have any intention in continuing what made this country great. Their followers will continue to believe that there really is a magic lamp, until the chains go on and reality sinks in.

Wow. You are not the sharpest in your herd, sport...Here is the original quote NOT said by Thomas Jefferson

"When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny."

Variations:

1."When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."

2."Does the government fear us? Or do we fear the government? When the people fear the government, tyranny has found victory. The federal government is our servant, not our master!"

3.“When the people fear the government, that's tyranny; when the government fears the people, that's freedom.”

Earliest known appearance in print: 1914
Earliest known appearance in print, attributed to Thomas Jefferson: 1994
Also sometimes attributed to Samuel Adams or Thomas Paine. neither one of them said it, either.

You Tea Baggers love to quote Jefferson but have no fkn idea what's really going on...

Fkn Hilarious.

Stop lying, Black Rhino! The founders said meny things that are just as important now, as when they said them. Allow me to educate your deluded liberal mind with a few of my favorite quotes for the founders:

"When Mitt Romeny has to release his tax returns, that is the mark of an evil nation." Ben Franklin, 1821.

"Only when George Bush is President, can a people really be free." George Washington, 1737

"Liberal Democrats are to liberty what vampires are to necks; they suck." Abraham Lincoln, last year.

"Benghazi!" Samual Adams, 1787.

I stand corrected.

Sam Adams did mention Benghazi...As did Sam Jackson...in Star Wars...

ZERO.

The problem lies with the nutjobs with the over active imaginations who see helicopters coming over the horizon and gosh what they really need are assault weapons because only with semi automatics will the be able to keep those helicopters that fire fully automatic machine guns... several at any one time and that's before they decide they can use a rocket...

Nutjobs that pretend that having an AR-15 is the only thing that keeps the global conspiracy from knocking on the door.

And we Americans instead have to wake up shortly before Christmas to see yet ANOTHER OF THESE NUTJOBS taking one of your F*King toys and killing two dozen people.

ENOUGH!

Everyone should ignore the bible. it is one of the worst moral guides ever printed, supporting a vindictive, hjealous little prick of a mythical god...

the further we have gotten away from the bible as a nation, the more moral we have become....
