Yeah, the socialist Democrats in Sacramento that is taking down California faster than Obama is destroying America. Wow, CA. used to be good and now 100,000 are leaving the state as fast as possible.

I know as $25 is taken out of our paycheck weekly as of the beginning of 2013 and Obamacare has not really began yet.

http://blogs.investors.com/capitalhill/index....

Here are some of the sections below that are taken from HR 3590 as agreed to by the Senate and from the reconciliation bill.

1. You are young and don’t want health insurance? You are starting up a small business and need to minimize expenses, and one way to do that is to forego health insurance? Tough. You have to pay $750 annually for the “privilege.”(Section 1501)

2. You are young and healthy and want to pay for insurance that reflects that status? Tough. You’ll have to pay for premiums that cover not only you, but also the guy who smokes three packs a day, drink a gallon of whiskey and eats chicken fat off the floor. That’s because insurance companies will no longer be able to underwrite on the basis of a person’s health status.(Section 2701).
...
5. You are an employer and you would like to offer coverage that doesn’t allow your employees’ slacker children to stay on the policy until age 26? Tough.(Section 2714).

6. You must buy a policy that covers ambulatory patient services, emergency services, hospitalization, maternity and newborn care, mental health and substance use disorder services, including behavioral health treatment; prescription drugs; rehabilitative and habilitative services and devices; laboratory services; preventive and wellness services; chronic disease management; and pediatric services, including oral and vision care.

You’re a single guy without children? Tough, your policy must cover pediatric services. You’re a woman who can’t have children? Tough, your policy must cover maternity services. You’re a teetotaler? Tough, your policy must cover substance abuse treatment.(Add your own violation of personal freedom here.)(Section 1302).

7. Do you want a plan with lots of cost-sharing and low premiums? Well, the best you can do is a “Bronze plan,” which has benefits that provide benefits that are actuarially equivalent to 60% of the full actuarial value of the benefits provided under the plan. Anything lower than that, tough.(Section 1302 (d)(1)(A))
...
9. If you are a large employer (defined as at least 50 employees) and you do not want to provide health insurance to your employee, then you will pay a $750 fine per employee (It could be $2,000 to $3,000 under the reconciliation changes). Think you know how to better spend that money? Tough.(Section 1513).
...
16. The government will extract a fee of $2 billion annually from medical device makers. If you are a medical device maker what you will pay depends on your share of medical device sales in the U.S. So, if you sell 10% of the medical devices in the U.S., what you pay will be 10% multiplied by $2 billion, or $200,000,000. Think you, as a medical device maker, know how to better use that money, say for R&D? Tough.(Section 9009 (b)).
...
19. You will have to pay an additional 0.5% payroll tax on any dollar you make over $250,000 if you file a joint return and $200,000 if you file an individual return. What? You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Tough.(Section 9015).

That amount will rise to a 3.8% tax if reconciliation passes. It will also apply to investment income, estates, and trusts. You think you know how to spend the money you earned better than the government? Like you need to ask.(Section 1402).

Her parents were hard working people who busted their asses to put her through college (they are not "illegal," btw).
After graduating college, she became a successful actress and has since been very active in philanthropic activities.
She gives her time and money to a wide variety of charities, including heart research, helping children with cancer, helping those with mental disabilities, increasing literacy, funding college scholarships, and many others. She has also made large donations to help people during disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
She probably does more in one day to make this country better than you will do in your entire life.
Then why is she for people that break the law if she is wonderful? Is it because she is racist?

I can't speak for Eva Longoria obviously, but my guess is that she thinks the existing laws are stupid and unproductive.

Our entire immigration system, both for legal and illegal immigration, is a complete goat screw- a huge and inefficient waste of taxpayer dollars.

Well, that's the way I feel about the existing laws. Maybe she agrees with me.

Too bad she thinks that way as that means she feels that welfare fraud, identification fraud and tax fraud are perfectly fine. It means she feels people of her race can use and abuse American law. Did you know that more and more employers are using e-verify to stop this fraud? I saw it in a Target store. I don't feel it is fair for Americans to have identity fraud committed on them and for them to have years and years of financial pain because some lawbreaker wants to have a per se better life. Did you know that it hurts many people in the Latino community? Finally, did you notice when we started applying some of our laws and when the job lure was reduced that less illegal aliens crossed over the border? I always believed in legal immigration.

"... she feels people of her race can.....?" Hey stupid, latino is not a race. It's an ethnicity. As a French Canuck overstay, you shouldn't be judging your fellow illegals. Mexicans or Latinos are not the only illegals.

We got hip to you through your many years of posting on this forum and your quasi guttural use of French, most similar to that spoken in the Quebec province of Canada. You're not fooling anyone, Torchwood!

Now, go ahead and flag and report me.

"a perfect example of immigrants who came to this country, worked hard, thrived, and made it better."

Isn't that what our founding fathers had done along with the melting pot that immigrated here legally did. Make this country better? Why is it when a white man or woman does good they are corrupt, worthy of ridicule, labeled racist? But if it is a Latino we should bow, give praise and worship them?

This country has seen its better days and it was good while it lasted. Socialism isn't all that, that you believe it to be. Not every immigrant comes legally and not all are givers. But since Hollywood is promoting the Latino population, y'all should take advantage of it. The Asians will be the next wave of minorities to rule. It will be easy for them to take over. They are bred to be poindexters.

There are many who give of themselves. I do not think it has to do with color or ethnicity. But that's just me.

I agree with all the immigrants that have done it legally. It is the ones that have done it illegally that do not deserve the same. The ones that have done it legally know how to give and respect America. Whereas the illegal one just consider America one big jackpot for them. You are right as I heard in California that the Asian population is the next big population wave to come to the state and won't they be upset when they have to learn Mandarin. lol Too bad the illegal Latino population from the nearby countries never learned to become and respect Americans first; thus, they will learn what it like to be dealing with another burgeoning minority population.

Pres. Obama isn't REALLY 'black', did you forget about his WHITE mother? he didn't grow up with his dad or that side of his family, but fully benefited from growing up with a solid upper-middle class white family, going to the best schools. It's insane how people think that he knows what the black experience in the US is. He didn't live it. Even when he was a 'community organizer' he lived in Hyde Park, an upper middle class neighborhood in Chicago. The dreams of his father? how would he have known what they were, except by heresay?

Yeah, but doesn't he have Michelle as a back up? Her folks definitely came off the plantation. The one drop rule may not be law, but manifests itself in attitude, therefore it remains ever present. The guy is Black and that's it! Phenotype takes the forefront and is reinforcing in that manifestation.

His kids are cute, and smart too, I'm sure (they get that from their mom). LOL. He's not a bad guy, just jumped into politics too soon, he had no experience, just theory and ideals.

Wasn't he a Senator? Anyway, whatever he had, it was enough to get him that second term. He won't go down in history as all out loser, unless something really drastic happens in the next four years. We'll see....
