Romney's plan is a retread, Obama says

Full story: The Columbus Dispatch

President Barack Obama chats with diners at Rick's City Diner in Toledo, while patrons at an adjacent table snap pictures of the commander-in-chief. After his Toledo stop yesterday, Obama surveyed Hurricane Isaac's damage in Louisiana.

While I am very unhappy with the job obama has done so far, I think Romney is totally wrong for president. And when he picked Ryan for his running mate, I am sure he is the wrong man for the job. They are on the wrong track to get this country up and running again.

I guess the Democrats haven't figured out that this is the second election Bush will not be running. Why are they continuing to run against Bush? Oh, that's right. Because DumBama is a complete failure as a President.

We need a change. Obama is a scholar, not a businessman or economist or leader.

Romney and Ryan are two of the smartest guys in the room. I truly do undertand Romney's plan for the economy and he's no fool on foreign policy.

One example is foreign trade agreements. Obama has not accomplished one during his tenure. In the meantime, China has adopted 18 and has 15 in the works. More foreign trade will step up out manufacturing.

The US becoming energy dependent is something I have longed for for a long time. The benefits in jobs, more tax revenue and the drop in cost of every product or service that uses a truck, let alone running our own vehicles, will be enormous.

They have a plan. Obama doesn't and he doesn't have a record. But I bet you he will try to push cap and trade through again. And we have to get Obamacare repealed. It will cost us a fortune and good healthcare will not be able to be found.

I'd encourage you to vote for change.

Now they have finally ditched God. By the power invested the people.......BY GOVERNMENT.

I love how all these so-called fact checkers are rolled out because EVERYONE knows that the so called main stream media doesn't bother to do their job and they are a complete joke anymore.

But what's really funny is these fact checkers are nothing but former democraps now supposedly doing the job they were supposed to be doing before anyone heard of these outfits.

It was raining nearly all day yesterday here and I'm on a short vacation, so I was watching Fox for a couple of hours before the Bill O' show. And of course, in keeping their "fair and balanced" mantra, they were interviewing libs as well as conservatives.

What I found amazing is how many of those liberals were insistent on how much better we are doing than four years ago. Fox posted statistics such as average median income per year (which is down four thousand dollars from 2008) unemployment numbers, debt numbers, and so on. Yet these liberals ignored all that and insisted we were on the right path.

If this is the right path, I think we need to venture off into the wrong path. Bush left with a 400 some billion deficit, and today, our deficit is 1.4 trillion dollars.

We are now borrowing 40 cents for every dollar we spend. That means in order to balance the budget, we would have to cut our spending by 40%. 40% is close to what we spend on Medicare and Social Security every year. Mind you, this isn't even touching the debt which as of 4:00 pm yesterday, hit 16 trillion dollars. How is that possible with a President like DumBama?????

Employees in right to work states make $3,000 to $5,000 LESS per year, than their counterparts. Declining median income? There's your sign.

Better than making nothing because the union chased the company out of the state or country.

Non-union employment is a supply and demand situation. When employers need good workers, they will increase wages. When you have a President like Obama who's unemployment numbers are higher than when he took over nearly four years ago, then employers pay lower wages because there is a larger worker pool. Then you have a President who is inviting foreigners who will work for just about nothing, that doesn't help.

Right-to-work maybe played a slight part in lower household income. But I would be willing to bet that the real game changer is all those people who sat on unemployment for a year, or got some doctor to convince the feds that they were too disabled to work and went on Social Security. There's a hell of a lot more of them than lost union jobs, that's for sure.

It doesn't take much analysis to take Barack Obama's words at face value and conclude that he adheres to Marxist ideology. One cannot be a pro-free-market capitalist and assume that any success is built solely on exploitation of a lower class. Indeed, the assumption of the very existence of lower classes is un-American. Our society was built on the ideal of Liberty. That liberty is exactly what created our exceptional American society that has prospered like no other nation in history. One of the most important applications of Liberty is the ability of any individual to use their talents to prosper and rise up out of poverty, or to choose to stay right where they're at. In fact, the stats bear this out:

Completely Un American is 100% Correct!!

Where did you research that Quack Theory?

The common difference between Non-Union Employees and Union Employees is that Union Employees are 10xs more likely to have a better pay scale and paid into benefits and pension plans......

You've not read that Quack Theory in any creditable publications

Companies need good, skilled workers now and the pay scale doesn't reflect the American Corporations record profits.

Where are you getting this nonsense you subscribe too?

When Obama came into Office the Unemployment rate 10 days after his swearing in was 8.1%, and rising, today it is 8.3%,.02% higher, you think that's because of the Republican conspiracy to cut funding causing 600,000 public workers to loose their jobs, most Americans think so

Romney is a laughing stock across the World.... The rest of the world is mocking America for even considering for President a guy that ducked military duty with 5 son who also ducked military duty during the longest war in the history of America.

Romney pandering to Israel isn't going to work. All Romney knows about Foreign Policy is where to stash Millions so they don't become subject to American Taxation.

In the last four months of 2008 the American Economy through the Republican Policies loss Millions of Jobs,

Did you not believe that the consequence of a massive shredding of jobs like that, the greatest in history, wouldn't cause a reduction in Median Pay across America?

With all the job losses in America and folks begging for work, why would I re-hire rates before the Republican induced economic collapse? Weak pay scales is a primary reason that American Corporations are earning record profit.

Workers are doing more for less compensation just to hold on to their positions in the work place.

It may not be fair, but there is a lot that take place that's not fair but leads to corporate profits. If you don't like the pay, quit.
