We lived in Chicago when we first left the military. They don't make any bones about the fraud. The Precinct Captain explains what they want you to do in plain language, and they are not afraid of getting caught, because no one from the Governor to precinct captain gives a rats behind if you cheat or not. And Rahm, adBarack took that to a national level in November

Electoral College should be done away with period. It should be the popular vote. This would clean up the process alot.

There's alot of things the GOP can do. They can push this issue if they want but they have too many other things to do.

If they want to change the process they need to throw in mandates for cursory background checks and audits of registered voter list for citizenship, criminals, inelidgable voters, dead people etc.

13 years too late - should have had the popular vote in 2000.

If you go to the popular vote the east coast, and the west coast would elect the President. All states have electoral votes to give the smaller states a say in the selection of National figures. But you knew that, right?

Standard argument for the electoral college defenders. Problem is many of the smaller voting states they say they are trying to help/offset any advantages for wind up being bypassed by all campaigns and parties. The big electoral states wind up controlling the elections as is.

Since the high electoral college states get most of the attention they get by passed by the politicos anyway. This also means being bypassed by a political party with power means little or no deals for you. No matter the president they have their representatives.

Anytime you want to change the Electoral College you can ask for a Constitutional amendment. You won't get it, but you can try. It would take a 2/3 vote in the house, and senate, and 2/3 votes in the states.

Focus on each individual state, as they determine the procedures regarding how their electoral votes will be distributed.

The definition of the Electoral College comes from the Constitution. It must be changed by a constitutional amendment, and the liberals don't have nearly the support they need for that kind of change. So the Electoral Collge is safe for a long, long, time.

Al Gore would've lost that too if the military votes were allowed.

Al Gore is one of the greatest frauds in American History.

The only thing that crashed was Etchy's campaign and, of course, the predictions of idiots like you.

You wish. The illegl aliens, and the dead elected Obama both times, and you cannot prove otherwise. You haven't spent time in Chicago listening to the Democrat volunteers brag about "finding" votes. There is a famous story about 1960. Candidate Kennedy's Daddy called the first Mayor daley, and told him they needed so many votes to win the election. Mayor Daley called the Princinct Captain in the first Ward, and guess what? They found just enough votes to put JFK over the top. You are way to naive to have the vote.

I do know this.
There where many inner city areas where the Republicans did not receive one vote.
These areas had way above average voter turnouts.
And Republican poll watchers where turned away and not allowed to observe what went on in these areas.

No matter how you put it with this electoral college thing it still comes down to getting votes in strategically preferable area. That's why major cities are ripe for fraud. In Pennsylvania Pittsburgh or Philadelphia can carry a politician especially at the national level. If they want to do this electoral college crap it should be uniform and proportioned per votes in a state.
Personally get rid it.

Neither changed the rules; one was the victim of Republican chicanery, and the other NEARLY was.
