What does religious freedom mean?

Aug 10, 2012 Full story: The Washington Post 836

In the United States, Muslim women trying to maintain modesty should get female-only hours at the public pool , right? What about Wicca troops who want a chaplain of their own, even if there are only a few thousand of them in the military? And Catholic business owners who believe that contraception is killing - should they have to provide it to ... (more)

I own your time Pagan and Proud. All the time you spend whinging to the Topix moderators is time you can't use doing something else. You are my puppet and you will be using the time I am depriving you of as you report this post.
You better get on with your complaining ritual my pathetic little plaything.

Your religious freedom ends where another's begins. You are free to follow your religions code as long as it does not infringe on anothers rights.
Example: Christian churches. You are free to turn away whomever you want for whatever reason you want; but as soon as you start to accept government tax dollars you, you now have to accept the strings attached to them. Those are that you can no discriminate against age, race, sex, color, religion, sexual preference.
If that is a problem then dont take governement tax dollars. Not like you dont get enough of those for free through tax exempt status.
If I ever come across a religion that isn't steeped in superstition and makes sense, I'll be the first to join it. Anyone have any ideas?

Greetings A, All,
Our party, your party..The TEAPARTY has devined the american way for the future and it is without clutter of these many religions and complictions of divergent argument which vainly attempt to refute what we know by faith and say to be the truth for you. There will be the One church, there will be the One Man and he will take care of himself and his possessions and so have no time for his lazy neighbor for he must till his own fields. We must stop all regulations, stop annoyiog our betters with taxes and stupid rules of trade. Yes, there are those that just cant get along on the way appointed for them and those can be helped into the fold ..the university grounds will be great controlled encampments for them where we can watch them and chose the best of them to do our bidding. This will be possible because the universities will cease their mind soiling clabber and be closed to that argument which does not support THE one faith. We have the votes and with the new voting rules and laws the vote will stay ours. Join.

You're irrelevant. The pompous Pagan is my real 'fun friend' on this thread. He is such a sissy he makes me chuckle each time I read his posts.

So what is wrong with homophobia? It's just a phobia like any other phobia except that homophobia is directed towards perverts.

What you just described is YOUR path, the fact that you think religion is "mumbo jumo" is a part of it. A path doesn't mean you're religious, it means whatever you yourself believe, no one's is the same.....duh
