Not only was Obama strong in states with the highest percentage of college graduates, he was also strong in states with the highest average household incomes. For example, the five states with the HIGHEST average household incomes (which, not coincidentally, were also among the states with the highest percentage of college graduates).
Maryland $67,469
New Hampshire $67,287
Connecticut $67,165
New Jersey $65,072
Massachusetts $62,809
Virginia $62,776

So again... you believe the "smart" folks are for higher taxes, highest unemployment, higher debt, tax dollars given to failed companies, less freedom and liberty than ever....... That's NOT smart no matter how you look at it. Stop it with the desperate sales pitch, you side won....Let the rage go, let it go.

So out of the fifteen states with the highest percentages of college graduates, twelve voted for Obama. And as for the nonsense some have proposed about liberalism being "cyclical", republicans have gotten the majority of the white vote in every presidential race since 1964.

The ONLY ethnic group where Romney lead was white men. "Republicans have won the white vote in every presidential election since 1964, and that continued Tuesday with Romney beating Obama by 20 points, 59 percent to 39 percent, according to exit polls. Obama won 80 percent of the minority vote, which, besides Latinos, included African Americans, 13 percent of turnout, the same as 2008, and Asian-Americans, who were 3 percent of the vote, up a point from the last election. President Barack Obama on Tuesday won a whopping 71% of the Latino vote, up from 67% in 2008. By contrast, John Kerry only managed to get about 53% of the Latino vote in 2004 when he lost in his bid to unseat President George W. Bush, according to publicly available exit polls. In Colorado, he captured three-quarters of Hispanic voters, up from 61 percent in 2008. He also improved his Hispanic performance in Florida, a result that included dominance of the heavily Puerto Rican swing precincts around Orlando and the election of a Cuban American Democrat to Congress, symbolizing the end of the GOP’s decades-long lock on that community. In 2012, the share of the Latino vote rose to a record high 10%, a number that’s doubled in the past 16 years. President Obama won about 8.4 million Latino votes, using a rough calculation based on exit-poll data. Romney captured no more than 3.44 million votes. In Iowa and New Hampshire, states without big minority populations, Obama won by gaining the support of nearly six in 10 women. Obama won 71% of the Asian-American vote. From the exit polls, President Obama’s support from men slipped a few points from 49% four years ago, but women supported the president over Romney by 55% to 44%."

"Based on Census Bureau estimates, the nation’s white population, which was 85 percent in 1960 and 63 percent in 2011, will drop to minority status, about 47 percent, in 2050. Latino population, only 3.5 percent in 1960 and 17 percent last year, is projected to rise to 29 percent by then, while Asian-Americans, less than one percent 52 years ago and 5 percent last year, is seen as rising to 9 percent in 2050. The trend of fast-rising Latino population is happening in other traditionally Republican states such as Arizona and Texas."

With the exception New Mexico, the ten poorest states all voted for Romney. So much for out of touch Mitten's nitwit theory about losing due to "gifts from Obama."

2. West Virginia
3. Arkansas
4. Kentucky
5. Alabama
6. Tennessee
7. Louisiana

The day of the white male voter being a dominant factor is DONE. "Look at the basic breakdown of Mr. Obama’s victory, according to exit polls (which may yet be revised). He won 93 percent of African-Americans, 71 percent of Hispanics, and 73 percent of Asians. He took 55 percent of the overall female vote, down only one percentage point from his comparable 2008 showing.
Mitt Romney, meanwhile, won about 59 percent of the white vote. That’s the best a GOP nominee has done among whites since 1988, and not too long ago such a performance might have guaranteed a winning margin of 270 electoral votes. After all, whites still make up 72 percent of US voters.
But that percentage has inexorably grown smaller election by election. In 2008 whites were 74 percent of the electorate. Given Obama’s popularity among minorities, Mr. Romney would have needed the support of even more whites to win – and Obama did well (or well enough) among white women, particularly single and young white women.
Romney won white men by 25 points. It wasn’t enough."

REAL news from the RUPERT MURDOCH OWNED Wall Street Journal about the REAL events at Benghazi. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000142405297... "When "When the bodies of Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans killed in Benghazi, Libya, arrived at Andrews Air Force Base after the Sept. 11 attack, they were greeted by the president, the vice president and the secretaries of state and defense. Conspicuously absent was CIA Director David Petraeus.
Officials close to Mr. Petraeus say he stayed away in an effort to conceal the agency's role in collecting intelligence and providing security in Benghazi. Two of the four men who died that day, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, were former Navy SEAL commandos who were publicly identified as State Department contract security officers, but who actually worked as Central Intelligence Agency contractors, U.S. officials say. The U.S. effort in Benghazi was at its heart a CIA operation, according to officials briefed on the intelligence. Of the more than 30 American officials evacuated from Benghazi following the deadly assault, only seven worked for the State Department. Nearly all the rest worked for the CIA, under diplomatic cover, which was a principal purpose of the consulate, these officials said."

Despite the continuing racist rightwing propaganda portraying Obama as an anti-american muslim foreigner, the following are THE REAL EVENTS THAT REALLY HAPPENED IN THE REAL WORLD.
"Sept. 11: The Attack

2:30 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (8:30 p.m. Benghazi time): U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens steps outside the consulate to say goodbye to a Turkish diplomat. There are no protesters at this time.(“Everything is calm at 8:30,” a State Department official would later say at an Oct. 9 background briefing for reporters.“There’s nothing unusual. There has been nothing unusual during the day at all outside.”)
3 p.m.: Ambassador Stevens retires to his bedroom for the evening.(See Oct. 9 briefing.)
Approximately 3:40 p.m. A security agent at the Benghazi compound hears “loud noises” coming from the front gate and “gunfire and an explosion.” A senior State Department official at the Oct. 9 briefing says that “the camera on the main gate reveals a large number of people – a large number of men, armed men, flowing into the compound.”

About 4 p.m.: This is the approximate time of attack that was given to reporters at a Sept. 12 State Department background briefing. An administration official identified only as “senior administration official one” provides an official timeline of events at the consulate, but only from the time of the attack — not prior to the attack. The official says,“The compound where our office is in Benghazi began taking fire from unidentified Libyan extremists.”(Six of the next seven entries in this timeline — through 8:30 p.m. EDT — all come from the Sept. 12 briefing. The exception being the 6:07 p.m. entry, which comes from Reuters.)
About 4:15 p.m.:“The attackers gained access to the compound and began firing into the main building, setting it on fire. The Libyan guard force and our mission security personnel responded. At that time, there were three people inside the building: Ambassador Stevens, one of our regional security officers, and Information Management Officer Sean Smith.”
Between 4:15 p.m.-4:45 p.m.: Sean Smith is found dead.
About 4:45 p.m.:“U.S. security personnel assigned to the mission annex tried to regain the main building, but that group also took heavy fire and had to return to the mission annex.”

About 5:20 p.m.:“U.S. and Libyan security personnel … regain the main building and they were able to secure it.”
Around 6 p.m.:“The mission annex then came under fire itself at around 6 o’clock in the evening our time, and that continued for about two hours. It was during that time that two additional U.S. personnel were killed and two more were wounded during that ongoing attack.”
6:07 p.m.: The State Department’s Operations Center sends an email to the White House, Pentagon, FBI and other government agencies that said Ansar al-Sharia has claimed credit for the attack on its Facebook and Twitter accounts.(The existence of the email was not disclosed until Reuters reported it on Oct. 24.)
About 8:30 p.m.:“Libyan security forces were able to assist us in regaining control of the situation. At some point in all of this – and frankly, we do not know when – we believe that Ambassador Stevens got out of the building and was taken to a hospital in Benghazi. We do not have any information what his condition was at that time. His body was later returned to U.S. personnel at the Benghazi airport.”

Mitten's "momentum" was a ruse, a total bluff. He doesn't have jackshit to back him up.
"The New York Times election oracle, Nate Silver, who in his fivethirtyeight blog correctly predicted 49 of 50 states in the last election, predicts that Obama could breeze to victory with a 75 percent chance of winning. Despite his relatively simple method of averaging polls to predict winners, he’s become a punching bag for pundits and politicians who label him a fradulent snakeoil salesman." http://techcrunch.com/2012/10/30/why-pundits-...

Mitt Romney 'Binders Full Of Women' Claim Misleads

Mitt Romney raised eyebrows during the presidential debate Tuesday night when he claimed that as governor of Massachusetts, he had been so dismayed at the lack of female cabinet candidates that he sent women's groups out to find them.

"I went to a number of women's groups and said,'Can you help us find folks?' and they brought us whole binders full of women," he said.

In fact, Romney did not direct women's groups to bring him female candidates, Boston Phoenix reporter David Bernstein points out. A non-partisan collaboration of women’s groups called Massachusetts Government Appointments Project (MassGAP) was responsible for the effort in 2002, when the group's leaders realized that women held only 30 percent of the top appointed positions in the state.

Romney boasted that during his term as governor, Massachusetts had more women in senior leadership positions than any other state in America. "Now one of the reasons I was able to get so many good women to be part of that team was because of our recruiting effort," he said.

This statement, too, is misleading. While 42 percent of Romney’s appointments during his first two and a half years as governor were women, the number of women in high-level appointed positions actually declined to 27.6 percent during his full tenure as governor, according to a 2007 MassGAP study.
