It is amazing to me that the show's still on, since based on Internet chatter, no one watches it. At this point, the show is kind of a victim of having carved out too much backstory to attract new viewers. The episode that aired recently where Joseph's half-sister moves in to Bill's house was filled with so many references to the complicated dynamic between Joseph, his parents, his real father, who does and doesn't know that Joseph's real father IS his real father...

It was VERY funny for dedicated fans who have kept up with the show and understood all the ridiculous twists and subtle nuances they've added to the plotline, but I expect anyone trying out the show for the first time would have been completely lost during that episode.

I love this show & just because people in NY city & LA don't watch it, means it must be good.

I was so relieved to her of it's renewal since I did fear the end was coming. I can't wait to see more!:)

I live in LA and I still watch it, and I don't think i know anyone who doesn't.

'Internet chatter' is always more negative than positive, as people are more apt to go out of their way to complain than praise, whether it's about a TV show or ketchup.

Sure, some episodes are obviously written with the long-term viewer in mind, but that's how life is - we don't start every week of our lives with little or no connection to our pasts. Why would it be different in Arlen? New viewers are bound to realize that unless they're complete morons and plenty of episodes stand on their own just fine anyway.

King of the Hill continues to be a smart show while still bringing the funny and there's still a little nugget of wisdom to be learned by the end of each show.

I love King of the Hill as well. Glad it's coming back :) I think I've been watching it since it's first season. I'm a big Mike Judge I'll watch pretty much anything he does :P Office Space is awesome! Apparently when Mike speaks sometimes he sounds like Beavis and sometimes he sounds like Hank Hill. That cracks me up :)

When they talk about The Hills, this is the kind of program I prefer. Not that MTV show, which I don't watch. These Hills are more believeable and funnier, I tell you what.

This is one show that I will never understand why it was ever popular. I don't even like to watch it in syndication and I have watched several episodes just to see if I could ever enjoy it. I wanted to see what I was missing.

As it is, I am rather bored with the entire Fox Sunday night cartoon fest. At some point in time, I would think that Fox would either go in a new direction without animation or stay with animation and go with a completely different type of cartoon.

That show was really great. I wish that those guys could keep making new episodes, even though they've moved on to other shows, this one is a classic.

FOX may hold the remianing episodes until the 2009-2010 season or just burn them off in the summer.
