Chick and Cathy are not simply voicing opinions. Their speech is transformed into actions through their donations to groups who work to deny equal legal rights to gay people and their children. They want their religious beliefs to be imposed upon everyone, using the force of law.
"The groups Chick-fil-A gives to include the Family Research Council and Exodus International, according to Equality Matters, an initiative associated with the progressive Watchdog group, Media Matters. The Family Research Council is designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, while Exodus International is a Christian Ministry that has long endorsed ex-gay therapy, a controversial practice of "curing" gay people that mainstream mental health organizations have disavowed.(In recent months, the president of Exodus has tried to distance his group from the idea that gay people can be "cured.") I believe all that freethinking has left your brain out of gear. Your spelling and (nonexistent) punctuation make for a very difficult sentence to read and understand. I believe you are calling for a gas boycott. Well, good luck with that.

Pro-gay groups are not trying to deny equal rights to others. "Gay-rights" are more accurately "equal rights".

Denial of equal rights causes harm in a wide variety of ways. Equal rights, or treating others the way you want to be treated, harms no one.

Not at all. No one is telling you, you can't have an opposite sex marriage, nor that you have to marry someone of the same sex. Your rights are not denied by marriage equality.

Cathy is trying to use the law to deny marriage equality to gay people.

of course not there is clear benefit from traditional marriage. it is in the state interest to encourage it. not so for the same sex marriage. by the way equal rights are not natural. can`t be obtained without taking. from people that work . pilgrims tried to create a sociality based on equity and it led to starvation. it was only when they went to a more free enterprise sys that they success. equality by it`s very nature, will always lead to tyranny.

Gays do have that right. They are fighting for civil rights. The anti-gays are fighting for their bigotry.

You are confusing equal legal rights, or equal treatment under the law, with equal abilities and outcomes.

Gay people benefit by marriage in the same variety of ways straight people benefit. It provides security and stability for their families.

It is the refusal of the majority to treat everyone equally under that law as required by the constitution that is tyranny.

"All, too, will bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression." - Thomas Jefferson

I don't understand why Chick-Fil-A feels they are being singled out and discriminated against by the "left wing." No one is telling them they are not entitled to their opinions. How is boycotting a place discrimination?! No one is infringing on their free speech or freedom of religion. What about the left's free speech and freedom of religion? Does the "right wing" only have those rights or do all Americans? Just because my views, speech, and religious beliefs differ from someone else's doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to have my views, freedom of speech, and religion even if they aren't that of A majority. Not all religions, faiths, or churches condemn gays or same-sex marriage. If I choose not to do business with a someone that is my right just like it's their right not to do business with me. If they are against gays why would they want their business in the first place? Why does Chick-Fil-A feel they are being demonized? It seems like they have plenty of business from those who agree with their views. Why do they keep complaining? If I ran a business it would be to sell to customers. I would be neutral and not bring any religion, politics, or social issues into it. I would want all types of customers to feel comfortable doing business there. It seems to me that the business is being hypocritical. They feel they are entitled to their views, beliefs, opinions, freedom of speech, and religious freedom and they are so why do they feel opposing views are not the rights of others and that the business is being discriminated against? I'm glad they did come out about their views because now I have a choice to do business there or not for I know where they stand. I choose not to do business with them. I get so tired of people and businesses that dish stuff out but they get all upset when people dish it back to them. Yes people have freedom of speech and religion but that doesn't mean their aren't consequences for actions taken under those or that everyone is going to agree with them or like them. I know not everyone is going to agree with everything I feel either.
What is sick is your fellow homofascists trying to block construction of new Chick-a-fil stores just because their owner disagrees with your horrible hate based agenda. That is un-American and wrong, as is your radical homosexual movement. You can make no logical case for your cause, so you attack those who disagree.

What does *GOD* have to say on this subject?

Leviticus 18:22 - You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:13 - If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their blood guiltiness is upon them.
Romans 1:26-27 - For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error.
I Corinthians 6:9 (NIV)- Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
I Timothy 1:8-11 (NASB)- "But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching, according to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, with which I have been entrusted."
1 Kings 14:24 And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel.
Deuteronomy 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
1 Kings 15:12 And he took away the sodomites out of the land, and removed all the idols that his fathers had made.
1 Kings 22:46 And the remnant of the sodomites, which remained in the days of his father Asa, he took out of the land.
2 Kings 23:7 And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove.

Truth is, you'd never see as many Christians at a homeless shelter or a soup kitchen as you saw at Chick-Fil-A today. Nothing brings out some good old fashioned "Christian love" and godly morals like a little medieval gay-bashing.

Why would Mitt even want the presidency, when he is destined to rule over an entire planet after he dies? Why settle for leading one single country on a small planet?

Will you be one of his minions on his new planet? Where do they get their minions, anyway? Will it be the countless christians who are standing up for him?
