I want to see this [race] continue because iron sharpens iron, steel sharpens steel, said Palin on this mornings Fox News with Sean Hannity. (Watch Palin talk to Hannity here.)
Palin said that she hopes Gingrich wins but only in South Carolina, and only because it would keep the Republican nomination battle going.
Palins wish for a drawn-out primary clashes with the conventional wisdom that long primaries are a Bad Thing. The thinking goes that a long primary will scar and bloody the Republican nominee, who will almost certainly be Romney, and making him easier prey for Obama.
Do you agree with Palin - do you want a drawn-out primary battle, or a quick decision?
