Palin Half-Endorses Newt, Wants Primaries to Drag On

There are 101 comments on the www.politico.com story from Jan 18, 2012, titled Palin Half-Endorses Newt, Wants Primaries to Drag On . In it, www.politico.com reports that:

Breaking News

“I want to see this [race] continue because iron sharpens iron, steel sharpens steel,”
said Palin on this morning’s Fox News with Sean Hannity. (Watch Palin talk to Hannity here.)

Palin said that she hopes Gingrich wins – but only in South Carolina, and only because it would keep the Republican nomination battle going.

Palin’s wish for a drawn-out primary clashes with the conventional wisdom that long primaries are a Bad Thing. The thinking goes that a long primary will scar and bloody the Republican nominee, who will almost certainly be Romney, and making him easier prey for Obama.

Do you agree with Palin - do you want a drawn-out primary battle, or a quick decision?

How does half-endorsing anyone even make it a front page headliner? This chick thinks she still has pull, on what level? Must be the money thing, now that Gingrich has the casino backup...Money and power...not everyone can be bought.

Lordy, lordy, the Democrats don't want to run against Newt. That just makes him appear to be the better choice. It is ABO anyway, so it doesn't matter who the Republicans nominate. Go out, and talk to your neighbors who voted for Obama in the last election. They won't do it again, unless they are on welfare.

Palin's endorsement can't do anything but help President Obama in the long run. Especially with Newt saying he would give Palin a "significant" position in his admin if he was the nominee.

I love the fact that Newton Leroy's previous wife is coming out with info that Newt demanded an open marriage so he could sleep with others.

His previous wife says Newton Leroy said Calista (sp) doesn't care who he sleeps with.

LOL

Go Newton Leroy....being "too patriotic" caused him to request an open marriage.

LOL...you nuts said this about Cain, Bachman, Perry, etc etc.

No matter what national poll you choose. Obama is either ahead or tied with Romney. Newton Leroy has no chance of pulling independents.

Only rightwing nuts with their heads in the sand thinks the first Speaker to be kicked out for ethics (BY HIS OWN PARTY) with multiple divorces, and with a record of cheating on his wife while condemning Clinton for the same, has a chance of winning a true "family values" guy. lol.

Still better than a cronic liar and marxist, hell bent on destroying this country. Tell Obama to release his records.

Just appoint someone! Doesn't make squat who is in charge of kicking the can down the road, which is now rapidly turning into kicking the can up the taxpayers a--. For over 50 years both partys have honed that procedure into a fine art.

I am extremely disappointed in Sarah Palin. While I once thought she was a courageous TEA party republican, she has turned out to be a huge disappoointment in supporting a man who is devoid of any moral character. Strong family values are the heart and soul of conservatism. Gingrich can no more claim to be a conservative than John Edwards or Blago. He talks the talk but inside he's a complete hypocrite, totally unfit to carry the banner of conservatism. If Mitt Romney had done anything remotely similar to Newt, he would be skewered. For some reason, a Mormon candidate is held to a different standard.
