Dominionist Decoder: What Sarah Palin Really Means by Fire in Her Belly

May 30, 2011 Full story: www.politicususa.com 136
I’ve been saying for a while now that the mainstream media doesn’t “get” Sarah Palin. Last week, when the astute Lawrence O’Donnell equated her with Trump, I understood his reasoning, but disagreed with the premise. Sarah Palin isn’t Donald Trump, and when she speaks of a “fire in her belly” she’s not using that term politically, but religiously. She means she has a fire of God in her belly to lead the country to Jesus. She means she is anointed to lead us. She has a fire in her belly alright, but it’s not the fire of politics as the pundits know it. Full Story

Many of those who consider themselves fundimental Christians actualy have very little understanding, and even less knowledge of Jesus' message to us.

For example the "Christian Dominition" movement mentioned in the story flies in the face of Jesus' admonition to "render unto Caesar."

And, Jesus story of Lazeres and the rich man, the camel passing through the needle, the prodgal son; all lost on them. Lost.

Jesus renounced wealth, and earthly posessions. The modern-day 'Christian fundamentalists' worship Mammon, not Jesus.
And they don't get it.

Sarah Palin is the typical right-wing religious nut. She spreads venomous-hate with the nice little smile on her face. And just as typical, she claims to be a follower of the word of God and does everything that is counter to the “Word”. And mind-you, she is supposed to setting an example for her children… what a disgusting bitch…

I hope she runs just so that she can be rejected again; that’s not fire in her belly, if you know what I mean, LOL.

Mr. Bill, I'd like to point out that another point this story and this group points out to fundamentalist Christians is this groups efforts to work with the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives on new bills like the 2006 Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act which prohibits protests such as those of Fred Phelps from taking place near funeral proceedings for fallen military personnel.

Iria finds time to add three articles with political implications, but could not seem to find the time to add a column on the military personnel who have died in defense of his sorry ass.

Oh give it a rest. Seems like you found time to argue politics also. Why do you rigthwing nuts seem compelled to say those on the other side of the aisle from you are not as patriotic as you?

Me thinks you guys profess to much.

Being Dem or Repub says nothing about your faith or your love of country. Grow up.

You've been brainwashed.

Our Armed Forces and our Churches are filled by Dems and Repubs alike. Thats what makes our country what it is today.

This is so true. Try telling that to preachers who are making a fortune from their congregations and encouraging their flock to think bigger and better so they can tithe more.

The fire in her belly is for the money she can make by staying in the media. Like the other "candidate" the righwing topix posters supported, Trump.

And if anyone knows "venomous-hate" it pattycake and Lefty nut jobs.
For Lefties, its their stock in trade.
Can't support a position, logically, at all.
Spewing venom the entire time.
Can't disagree without being disagreeable.
And pattycake is right at home

The lady doth protest too much, methinks.
If the Miltary and Houses of Worship are equally Dem and Repub, Lib and Con, then why are so many overseas ballots disqualified on technicalities (if they are sent out to begin with)? And why are so many Churches and Colleges vehemently anti-Military? Especially when there's a Repub in the White House? Why do Libs directly and distinctly advocate positions which contradict the very words of the law and Constitution and call that "patriotism"?

Woof, Larry, Fire and Ice. Exactly! That is what Progressives are going to meet in the next election cycle. Sarah has both. She has Fire, which is the passion of her beliefs. And yes, she has Ice in her veins put their by 2 years of unrelenting attacks by the Left. She knows who and where to attack and unlike John McCain, will do so until victory is complete. Progressives have always been afraid of Palin and still are.

The demwits are getting desparate. They must run on their record for the past four years. More war looming. The economy of the nation almost in shambles. The government with out of control spending. Communists wanting a red star on the White House. Voter fraud. Five dollar gas. Political scandals. Nothing to blame Bush for anymore. The more ugly, venomous, hateful, and deceitful they are, the better. They are going to lose.
