Excuse me, what about the DNC rule that Michigan not hold their primary prior to Feb. 5? Michigan Democratic Party broke that rule, correct?
Nix the re-do (it feels so wrong to spend 12 million on a re-do when our state is in such economic peril... I don't care if that money IS coming from private donors!) and split whatever delegates the national party will permit 50/50.$12 million is an immoral amount to pay for a few extra delegates for one of the candidates.

I agree with Joe and will add that this unfortunate mess was avoidable. Makes me extremely disheartened with our elected officials. A disgrace.

I always thought that the United States Constitution was the law of the land not any political party. It seems to me that people's RIGHTS are being more controlled by groups (political or otherwise) than ever in the history of our (FREE)? country. Since when does a Party have the right to tell a state when and how it should run an election. Comments please

It is amazing how they agree (democrats) on the rules and now they (especially Hillary) wants to change the rules late in the game, after they had agreed on them. Typical Clinton politics........Gosh I cannot stand them....

A 50/50 split would be fine. Or seat the Michigan Delegation after the Presidential Candidate has been selected. The Michigan Democratic Lame Brains who made the decision to change the date knew there was a penalty. Now Live with it. As was said on Lou Dobbs tonight " They should take the bums that decided to break the DNC rules, and change the date of their Primary and THROW THEM OUT!" Also said " The DNC MUST ENFORCE THE RULES !"

It's becoming more and more obvious that neither of these people are fit for the presidency.

John McCain has my vote.

Hillary and Barack didn't care about us in the first place, why should they still? I'm voting Republican this year only due to THAT! Pity our nation if either one of them wins.

Dems! Please lets not let our state primary mess paint the election to the negative!

We are at this crucial point in history because of two amazing democratic presidential candidates. Our state's misguided primary scheme is a seperate issue from the dem pres campaign. Hilary's motivation for placing her name on the ballot was by all means a political move. But it wasn't her idea or Barack's to have Michigan break party rules.

MG! They do care about us but our state officials?

Please don't abandon the dem party... They want your vote. And if you think our state/country is in bad shape now? We can'T NOT lose this election....

"I regret that that might be the case, but it's a national party rule and we have no choice but to follow it," he said. They are trying to break all the other rules, why not this one too? It's what the Democrats do, break rules.

Well this is a fine mess the party big wigs have got us in. 50/50 is the only fair way to go. Super delagates also need to vote as the real people have spoken nation wide. One more stolen or meaningless vote and we will be head to hell in a hand basket. It is time to overhaul the whole system so it is about the little guy having a voice.
