a friend & I purchased a bunkbed from the same company, & end up with the pest. You can purchase Bengal Foggers & make sure that it says it kills eggs & babies. This worked after trying different ova the counter items. Go to the hardware store to get the purple box. This really works. The associate called Bengal & ask a few questions & I am a satisfied customer. Sleeping peacefully now.

Well if you saw the Dr.Oz show about bed bugs, you'd know if you have them, you'd have red dots on you where theyve been eating on you. For some reason 5 dots on each patch of skin its been eating on.

Remove all carpet (go to concrete or hardwood) and use quality zip up pouches on all mattresses and pillows.

Have a pro look at your bugs if you got them. Do not do it yourself.

I agree. They do not remain on the mattress. They can attach their selves to your PJs’ and if you do not change into your clothes after getting up you can take them straight to your sofa.

This is the information I found on DDT.

One of the great advantages of DDT as a bug killer was that it left a residue that kept on working after the area was sprayed. However, that persistence was also one of the great disadvantages of DDT. Sadly, DDT didn't just hurt the bad guys. So by the 70s, DDT was outlawed.

As far as bed bugs go, that didn't really matter. They had developed a resistance to DDT within a few years. But newer insecticides such as lindane worked well. The trouble was that those chemicals were also bad news for other life forms - definitely not something you want to spray on your bedding.

At the height of society's use of insecticides, it was common to spray a broad spectrum insecticide along the baseboards of many buildings every three months or so. They were after ants and cockroaches, but it also kept bed bugs at bay. We see things differently now. We use bait traps rather than sprays to get rid of pests. Since bed bugs don't care about the bait, they are not affected.

Perhaps the move to bait traps is the good news - homes, stores and offices are not so likely to carry a pesticide residue these days.
----------

But long before the United States banned most uses of it in 1972, DDT had lost its effectiveness against bedbugs.

traps are made for mice bats and if you wana get rid of bed bugs DDT is the answer it is still used in many parts of the world you know it I know it so stop with your fancy words MR> USA this country that we all so love is infested with not only bed bugs but with greed, you think only about money, and not how to get rid of the problem, bed bugs that we know of they do not transmit disease
yet so we really are not so worried, but remember the first news that we get that bed bugs are transmiting diseases the food administration will be the first ones to put DDT on the market mark my words MR> USA and again GOOD BUY BUGS
