Post #43 on the "LA jury" thread.
Jina claims that you tried to woo her.
Obviously, you can not be gay then so why be upset about it?
Quite frankly, I do not understand your reasoning at all, Jermaine.
Jina paid you a hidden compliment and you fail to grasp it.
I never told you how to act. I just questioned why you would feel that way when you know you are straight and love women. That is all. You are too concerned over what some people might think but you should not care.
I know that you do not understand...can't you just leave it alone? A hidden compliment? I guess I don't see it that way. I really don't care what people think. I am not or ever was gay. I am in love with a beautiful woman. We got engaged recently.

If it never happened, why did she pay you that compliment of trying to woo a beautiful, intellectual woman like her?

Your standards must be pretty high, right?

How do I boss you?
You try to make it seem like I should think as you do. I will tell you this. I came from a very different childhood background than you have. As a result it has made me sensitive to name callin and verbal abuse.

No doubt.

I would never desire to live in Ohio.

I just read that post...full of sarcasm and mean words....nothing surprising there...but there was never any wooing on my part.

And that is great, Jermaine.

I never said that you were gay. I just can not figure out why you'd be offended by the F word.

You should not feel that insecure about yourself though, Jermaine.

At the end of the day, who really cares what some people think.

And you should accept that Kracker is a mentally deranged sicko that is trying to manipulate you to be on his side. And you fell for it because he tells you things that you want to hear but ignore what an ass he is. That is so gullible of you, Jermaine.

I am impressed. Just hold your head up high and live your life without trying to hurt people and you'll do just fine.

There is always going to be criticism but a lot of times it is because you did not do what certain people wanted you to do. That happens to be life. I've always tried hard to make the right decisions for myself. I am not here to make others happy. I am here to make sure that my life is the way I want it.

I really do not mean to brag but life is excellect. I get whatever my little heart desires and apparently, you do not. Your jealousy of me is quite amusing.
Have a nice day, Mr Krackpot.
Yeah, yeah... whatever.

What shall we talk about now?

I know,“ELVIS PRESLEY!”

KVIE was telecasting “Aloha From Hawaii” the other day. I switched back and forth to it during commercials. It’s one of the shows that was supposed to be a highlight of Elvis’ career and granted, he looked and sounded good.

The next day, I was listening to “The Byrds” on my stereo and it struck me how inferior Elvis was to someone like Bob Dylan.

Dylan made "FOLK" mainstream music. Never before or since had folk music been considered commercial,“pop music” until Dylan came along. He reached heights in a genre that no other folk musician in history had been able to.

So fertile was the well he drew his musical inspirations from, he spawned one of the USA’s best rock bands,“The Byrds.” The Byrds were like the Beatles in America. They took Dylan’s influence, added electric guitar and made it even more popular. One of this bands most exemplary members was “Gram Parsons.”

Gram Parsons was a visionary. I remember back in the 60s and 70s, if you liked “Country Music,” you kept it to yourself. Admitting that you liked Country was like admitted you’re a Narc to your pot smoking buddies! When Gram Parsons quit The Byrds, he formed “The Flying Burrito Brothers” and started mixing Country with Rock-n-Roll!! He wrote terrific country tunes and incorporated Rock guitar feedback in them. It was almost sinful!

What did Elvis do that was half as radical during the last half of his career? In the beginning, he blew Country Music fans away at the Grand Ole Opry playing old Bluegrass chestnuts like “Blue Moon of Kentucky” at high speed, using a drummer that (gasp) played with wooden drumsticks! He was booed offstage. He then went on to shock conventional households on the Ed Sullivan show with his pelvic gyrations.

Then he met Col. Parker and began going downhill.

He took Elvis under his wing and groomed him into a "pop" artist. He picked out safe songs for Elvis. Few of the songs Elvis recorded after he became a superstar even challenged his listeners and that’s the way Parker liked it. It was as if someone took a poll, found out what songs would be most popular with the largest number of people and "Elvis Inc." took it to the bank!

Go ahead and blow your horn about what genius Elvis was now but for my money, he can’t hold a candle to Bob Dylan or even Gram Parsons!!
