The problem is... people that aren’t glued to everything Michael simply won’t know about what your hero WISHED he could do. It’s history’s job to record established institutions and the people operating them and leave what a particular person “dreamed about” to biographers.
When it comes to the almighty dollar bill, icons like Oprah Winfrey, Paul Newman and Danny Thomas have left their marks. People that merely write checks to charities only get honorable mention.
I don’t know why I have to explain that to you. I guess it’s because you fans think there should be special rules for your Mr. Perfect, huh?
You summed up the mindset of MJ fans perfectly with two words, "special rules". They think he's in a special category all to his own and the rules common people follow do not apply to him. He's special. That's how they think.

Rich celebrities are like royalty in this materialistic world, but MJ took it even further. His image was revered like a religion to millions.

It's like that song.... "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine."

Even if it defies logic and he was getting away with things that would get the rest of us thrown in jail, true believers are going to cling to that image with an iron fist. Until new generations discover their own idols, it isn't like to change in the next few years.

But it will. Unless MJ fans can translate all this noise into a language that would speak to all of us, kids in the future won't see things the way they do.

I guarantee it.

Do you know what's the biggest irony of it all?

MJ FANS DON'T THINK THEY NEED TO EVEN TRY TO COMMUNICATE WITH US!!

Right now... its all about being "cool," and being a member into their exclusive club! Even though future generations aren't going to understand them any better than we do, they think arguing with us about things we'll never agree on makes them clever!!

Actually I see a lot of young people proudly being MJ fans and saying he was innocent. Some of them were young kids in 2005, much less be alive in the 90's where his decline started. It's very disturbing and I blame the fan sites for it. They're brainwashing these kids Michael had it bad and the press was jealous of him. These fans believe the rumour of Jordan Chandler confessing he lied for his father. They believe Evan killed himself over guilt. These young people are being lied and its very sad.

It's a lie they want to believe. I don't blame the media. The media is simply a means of communication that reach large numbers of people, such as television, newspapers and radio. Good or bad, it feeds our insatiable appetites for information about our world at large. MJ fans are part of this medium as much as anyone else. When a rich pop star blames the media for his problems, it’s silly. When his fans blame the media for a rich pop star’s problems, it’s downright ridiculous! His fans seem to forget that while Michael Jackson didn’t live in our world, they do.

I blame it on the breakdown of family values. Earlier, "I WANT YOU BACK MICHAEL" was saying that I'm jealous of MJ cuz he's a "real man." I pointed out that if he was a real man, he would've manned up when the newspapers displayed photos of him dangling his baby over that 4th floor balcony railing. If he had only owned up to what he did and said "I got caught up in the moment. I regret what I did," people like me would've respected him. We all make mistakes. What did MJ do instead? He blamed the "horrible, horrible media" for blowing it out of proportion! What he did was nothing to just brush off the way he did! That squirming baby could've easily slipped out of his hands and plummeted to his death! But instead of being a man about it, he tried to get people to feel sorry for him!

And still I see "I WANT YOU BACK MICHAEL" commenting all over this forum, calling anyone that doesn't think Michael Jackson is as perfect as a human being can be, "scum."

This is one messed up world.

I remember watching that segment of the “Living with Michael Jackson” documentary when Jackson was trying to reassure the public through Martin Bashir that his baby was perfectly safe the whole time. He was using his son like a prop, force-feeding the crying infant under a veil. It was clear that MJ didn’t know how to hold a baby. He looked nervous as hell. He knew that he really screwed up big this time and that he could lose his kids.

Finally, MJ finished making his statement and practically bolted out of the room. Martin Bashir is sitting there with a bewildered look on his face and he says,“I’m really starting to worry about him!”

Martin Bashir was nothing but polite to MJ throughout that interview. Yes, he was persistent and kept drilling MJ about why he figured it was acceptable for him to let other people’s children into his bed, but that was what he was there for. MJ hired Bashir to question him about the allegations of his improper behavior around minors. Jackson was so out of it, he thought all he would have to do is say that bedding down unrelated children was just sweet, innocent fun and everyone would love him again. It failed miserably.

That's cuz normal people see stuff like that, they go,“Oh, my god!!”

MJ fans see stuff like that and THEY BLAME MARTIN BASHIR!!

It is very bizarre behavior. The interview sealed Michael Jackson's fate as far as his career and reputation went and he almost was convicted of child molestation charges. At the end, MJ paid the price for wanting to indulge in whatever he wanted to indulge. He was really a pathetic character.

Yeah, BB2, I saw that comment you made to "I WANT YOU BACK MICHAEL" and I wholeheartedly agree with you. Michael wasn't a man, just a great big, lying, coward with a lot of money. I don't know what kind of narcotic he was under when he dangled poor little Blanket. It makes me mad when I see the baby's tiny leg hit the railing. The stupid thing is the fans wanted to view the new baby, but the baby's face was covered. So what did they really see?? Nothing if you ask me.

As for "I WANT YOU BACK MICHAEL" she's a troll and a f'loon. She knows the board is largely against Michael, but she spams the board to incite drama and anger. I don't know if she seriously means everything she says about Michael. She's a very pitiful soul if she does. I hope all she's doing is being a satire of a Michael Jackson fan for fun.

If Jackson had goals to resurrect his career. He should have focused the interview towards making new music. But, no, the idiot brings a little boy. Who was consulting with him when he agreed to let Bashir into Neverland?

He was constantly doped up on pain killers... like morphine.

Like I mentioned before, Lisa Marie Presley said on the Oprah Winfrey Show that the man in she saw in that documentary was someone she didn't even recognize. His own ex-wife claimed HE LOOKED HIGHER THAN A KITE!!

What do you suppose would happen to you or me if in front of dozens of cameras, we dangled our baby over a 4 floor balcony railing while high on narcotics?? That was some serious shit there but as we all know, CPS just let the Teflon King slide!!

It's uncanny how so many people were blinded by his fame!!

It was as if the authorities considered tampering with the "King of Pop's" fame worse than crime itself!

When you see stuff like that, its small wonder so many people have no faith in the authorities!

The public has definitely taken a detour down the wrong path here with Michael Jackson as our guide! I truly hope we can pull our heads out of the sand and get back on the right track!

If we don't like hearing starry-eyed fanatics raving about how MJ was a perfect role model of a "real man," the first step will be for men and women to settle our differences and work together for the sanity of our children!

Women (girls) make up MJ's largest fan base. Jackson made his mark during the sexual revolution, about the time the Great Depression was over and the USA was the strongest nation on earth. This encouraged bullheaded women that figured good wasn't good enough that they were superior to men now!

MJ had feminine mannerisms, spoke in a tiny feminine voice and claimed an overbearing brute of a man abused him. In short, he became a poster child for the FEMININE MOVEMENT.

Joe Jackson was boisterous, demanding and didn’t hesitate to blow his horn louder than everyone else. Had he been a woman, those traits might have been admired but he was a MAN (the enemy.) and this made him a perfect target for radical feminists.

Like all things Michael, it boils down to whom you choose to believe. If he batted his false eyelashes and blamed his father for his problems, his fans naturally did too. This is odd considering Michael’s siblings haven’t blamed Joe for the mistakes they’ve made as adults. None of them figure that their unfulfilled childhoods make it perfectly natural to bed down other people’s children, so why are so many anxious to blame Joe for everything?

Go ahead, ask them.

They will tell you that it’s because Joe damaged Michael so severely as a child. As usual, this has a lot to do with the way Michael looked when he said it. He looked completely crushed as he recalled how he was forced to rehearse by his bully of a father. He looked like he was still cowering from his father’s savage blows when he spoke of how terrified he was of him as a child. This definitely had a strong impact on the public at large. If you could place your finger on the pulse of the world, you would find that millions; perhaps billions of people took every word Michael Jackson said deeply to heart. Joe Jackson became the man to hate.

I ask you...what kind of MAN badmouths his own father in public?

Joe Jackson didn’t become a brute in the public’s eye until Michael said too much. Yes, he was a strict disciplinarian; but he’s also responsible for bringing Michael to the world. Joe Jackson created the Jackson 5. Michael didn’t do that. Without Joe’s stern guidance, a child as self conscious and insecure as Michael Jackson wouldn’t have become as big as he did. Michael did as he was told in the beginning and because he did, the Jackson 5 went on to become a global sensation. No Jackson 5, no “King of Pop,” kids! Can we give him credit for that much at least?

Despite the much-publicized abuse, Michael honored his father with an annual “Joseph Jackson Day” at Neverland Ranch and ultimately forgave him, noting that Joe’s southern upbringing during the Great Depression and working-class adulthood hardened him emotionally, encouraging him push his children to succeed as entertainers.

Perhaps Katherine will give Joe a second chance even if militant feminists and his hardheaded fans refuse to. On November 10, 2010, Joe accompanied his wife Katherine on the Oprah Winfrey show.(They are no longer living together but they’re still married.) It was only a matter of time before both Oprah and Katherine had Joe cornered. Joe stuck up for his methods of child raising by saying,“Michael was raised properly. He didn’t run the streets like most of those other kids that was in his neighborhood. But harm Michael, for what? I have no reason. That’s my son. I loved him. I never beat Michael like the media tried to say.”

He admitted that he had been too hard on his children. That took a lot of guts for him to say, yet rather than buffer the hate millions of people have in store for him, it only made them hate him more! If Joe beat Michael bloody, he deserves the scorn he’s receiving now but there’s little evidence to support this. We shouldn’t condemn the man solely upon what this momma’s boy accused him of. It makes it too convenient to blame him for “The King of Pop’s” undisciplined lifestyle.

Michael never bad mouthed his father.he was Just saying what he went through as a child.those bad memories stick with a child untill adulthood
Michael was hurt by his father.but also forgave him.but I dont think he really ever trusted him

Back to what you said earlier this so called baby
Dangling Incident.the press blew it all out of
Proportion.what happened was people were chanting down below the hotel that they wanted
To see blanket.it was something out of Innocence
Michael would never let blanket fall.he was holding
On to blanket the right way and very strong and tight.he could never let him go he loved his children very much.and always protected them
Once again it something the press could blame him for.and it made bashir good viewing

Anyone can see bashir was two faced.and bashir
Big ego and the documentary shows what a liar and fake Journalist bashir was.Michael was smart enough to have his own camera crew filming
The bashir .this would become the basis of Michael own documentary aired on fox the
Michael Jackson Interview.the footage you were not meant to see.in 2009 after what happened to
Michael.bashir had the gall to pay tribute to Michael.bashir had the nerve to talk about the documentary.he said the truth is that he was never
Convicted of any crime bashir went on to say
I never saw any wrong doing.and said I dont believe its criminal.what a Jerk basir is. Its too little too late.because of the lies the authorities filmed the doc.because they never found one thing on him
This is the only way the authorities could set him up and told people to come forward to set mike uo
And how they can get money out of him
That poor man whats the world come to

You all talk about peace.what about giving Michael some peace.

Baloney! Bashir was doing what good people do, sending out his condolences. He said that he never saw MJ doing anything ILLEGAL during the filming of that documentary after he died! He never said MJ was innocent!!

MJ didn't make that documentary FOR YOU FANS!! He made it for people LIKE ME that thought he was acting like a pedophile. It's the job of a good journalist to get to the bottom of a story but MJ wasn't counting on MB being a GOOD journalist! The King thought he just needed to set a few "ignorant" peasants straight and Bashir would drop it....

LIKE YOU WOULD HAVE!! Too bad he didn't hire YOU instead, huh??

Then you could have fawned all over him and asked him real important questions like, "What's your favorite color??"

Just cuz you and your girlfriends all think MJ is a gooey little piece of man candy doesn’t mean EVERYBODY loves him except a few dumb old haters!!

There are MILLIONS of people that think Bashir did a damn good job!!

HE'S STILL DOING WELL!!

What pisses you fans off is that it stands as one of the only unscripted, honest glimpses that we have about MJ’s personal life and it doesn’t make him look good!!

Riddle me this, princess....

If MJ's father BEAT your poor baby bloody as a child, how come nobody noticed signs of abuse when he was performing under bright spotlights and the camera was zooming in to get a close-up??????

You'd think someone would've have noticed a black eye or something!!!
