This is where we will sort out the true “haters” from people of “goodwill.”

Millions of MJ fans call anyone that doesn’t love Michael Jackson the way they do “haters.” To them, Jackson is the image of a real life humanitarian. Why? Because he donated money to charity and sang about “Healing the World” with his love for children.

His fans have been calling anyone that doesn’t love this person as much as they think he deserves to be loved “haters” for years now. If Michael Jackson was truly a man of peace, his message certainly has gotten lost in transition among us survivors. If his fans think the first step is make everyone treasure this over pampered pop star, we’re off to a bad start. They will never convince the whole world that a guy that didn’t care if the public approved of his jaded lifestyle that he’s some kind of a saint! It’s time to bury the hatchet and try to salvage whatever good intentions he may have left behind.

This is a place for people to write about what wisdom they’ve gathered from public figures that speak of “peace on earth.” This is NOT a thread for fans and non-fans to pump themselves up playing the “Us against Them” game. If you’re incapable of discussing about the lessons you’ve learned from a famous “We Are The World” Michael Jackson and cannot resist dragging your emotions for this pop star into this discussion, 99% of the other threads in this forum are better suited for your anger.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT WHO LOVES OR DOESN’T LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON!!

This is a thread to discuss what you’ve learned about getting along with other humans. If MJ inspires you to make this world a better place… that’s great. Let him be your foundation. Just don’t forget to translate all this noise into a language that will make sense to all of us. You can’t believe in peace if you’re busy picking sides!!

Please give us your reflections on how fans and non-fans can stop arguing. How do you propose we share this planet without wanting to kill each other for having a different point of view?

Again… THIS IS NOT A THREAD ABOUT YOUR LOVE OR HATE FOR MICHAEL JACKSON!! If you’ve just gotta argue over this deceased entertainer, go spin your wheels some place else! This is an attempt to take it to the next level!

Yeah, yeah, I know…. The world sucks, right? It just feels more natural to bitch about it? Well, guess what? The world is one place and none of us are getting out of here alive!

Think it’s no big deal if you throw your garbage over the fence into your neighbor’s yard? Think you have the right to be a mean son of a bitch to people? That’s funny…. Cuz other mean sons of bitches feel the same way about you!

Am I saying that we should all love each other? NO… I am not. The best we can hope for is to learn to be more tolerant.

BE FREE.

DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO AND BE WHOEVER YOU WISH TO BE.

JUST AS LONG AS YOU DON’T HURT ANYONE.

This is not a tall order. It doesn’t suggest that we all have to love each other. It gives you tons of leeway. It lets you be you so long as you don’t hurt anyone. Why can’t we accomplish this? Why do so many people think everyone needs to agree with them?

There are very few absolutes in life. Unless we believe that we should be allowed to hurt others, we should be given the freedom to make up our own minds.

Live and let Live but gravitate toward what and who makes you peaceful. Some things are better left unsaid -be still ,silence is peacefull and you might hear the quiet inner voice of understanding that makes all the noise you were making seem silly.

MJ fans - please take note....

This is what you can expect if you post your impressions of how you believe Michael Jackson was trying to "Heal the World..." a bunch of frustrated social rejects calling you stupid for doing it.

The only way you're going to come out ahead on this is if you don't get sucked into their discontentment with life and start arguing with them about how MJ was a real life saint.

The trap you fans keep falling into is when you think the whole world should honor MJ as the glorious humanitarian YOU think he is.

MJ is dead. If he was truly a man of peace, its up to YOU to make sure his peaceful visions weren't in vain.

I have to distance myself from conflicts with people about politics or peoples self righteous views about their religious beliefs. I like what I like- do my own thing and I get enjoyment out of seeing people make positive things happen in their lives.

It's funny you'd think your stale observations are somehow palatable, creepy old dude. That's because your only audience is your heinous old lady, and I'm sure she just rolls her eyes.

So far, no one has brought up the subject of religion, although you can bet someone will.

Like MJ, if your religion inspires you to make this world a better place, all the more power to you.

One has to ask though... if religion is such a divine prophesy, why is there still so much hate here?

From my perspective... religion hasn't been much more successful in "Healing this World" than MJ has!

It's clear MJ couldn't save us.

He couldn't even save himself!

I hope his followers see something I haven't been able to see yet!

By the grace of God go us all.

I was thinking it would be a cool if US armed forces were used more for humanitarian aid in all these natural disasters, etc. happening around the world because extreme weather. It would be big diplomatic plus for US and how people of other countries of world view US

I've mentioned before that while I'm not a Christian, my mother was.

She told me as she lay on her death bed that the only consolation she had during her final hours was her faith.

That's what religion did for HER.

Aside from organized religions providing their congregation with a church to hang out in, how has it brought mankind closer together as a whole?

That's something to think about.

I read this on a bathroom wall once....

"Wouldn't it be an interesting world if our schools had access to all the money they require and our military had to hold a bake sale to buy new bombs?"

Underneath it were spiteful comments from pro-military types calling it balderdash!!
