Michael Jackson didn't glom down pork fat like it was candy!!!
By the time Elvis died, he was so out of it, so paranoid, so unhealthy, he did like MJ did and started eliminating people that loved and wanted to help him!!
All that bloated tool knew was to jump when Col. Parker said "JUMP!!"
Elvis looked great on his first concert of 1977 in Miami, Flordia on 2-12-77. He started out pretty strong and had lost weight. The show rocked. As Elvis went on though, it was obvious that he simply did not care anymore and probably ate because he was depressed. Besides, no one picks on BB King, who has always been fat.

MJ was unhealthy for different reasons. He barely ate anything and at the time of his death was just plastic skin and bones. Plus MJ did twice the drugs that Elvis did in the last six months of his life. The only thing MJ wanted in his mouth was the cream of sum young guy. His last meal was a sliver of tuna and sliced carrot. Who cares?

"In her book, Priscilla writes about how she was nearly raped by one of Elvis' friends during a ride back to her house. She says that Kurt (not his real name) was asked by Elvis to give her a lift home, but while she was "..dozing off.." he left the main highway onto a dirt road and attempted to kiss her and then threw her down onto the seat. After fighting him off and attempting to get help by hitting the horn and flashing the cars lights, she says that he must have feared being caught and decided to stop assaulting her. For days she didn't tell anyone, and only when Elvis sensed that she was upset during a visit a few days later, did she confide in him. Elvis was furious, but out of fear that Priscilla's parents wouldn't let them see each other again, they didn't tell anyone else."

It was obvious that the GI wasn't one of Elvis's good friends. Like I said before, Elvis had to be up by 5 am every morning for his army duties. Priscilla lived two hours away. You figure it out. Priscilla never had a sleepover. Duh.

GIMME SOME TRUTH

I'm sick and tired of hearing things
From uptight, short-sighted, narrow-minded hypocritics
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth

Ive had enough of reading things
By neurotic, psychotic, pig-headed politicians
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth

No short-haired, yellow-bellied, son of tricky dicky
Is gonna mother hubbard soft soap me
With just a pocketful of hope
Money for dope
Money for rope

I'm sick to death of seeing things
From tight-lipped, condescending, mamas little chauvinists
All I want is the truth
Just gimme some truth now

I've had enough of watching scenes
Of schizophrenic, ego-centric, paranoiac, prima-donnas
All I want is the truth now
Just gimme some truth

You make it sound like every concert Elvis did was classic when the truth was that despite how you would've been cheering yourself hoarse in the audience, his final concerts were a goddamn embarrassment!!!
Now tell me that don't matter cuz "JOOOHN....."
Depends on the concert, doesn't it?

Elvis was doing a live performance in the seventies, which was whatever he felt like at that time. Not every show had to be perfect. Of course, they were professionally done. However, The Beatles 30 minute disasters certainly weren't. The best Beatle concert recorded was in Japan. That was because the audience was strangely quiet. Saw the color footage on You Tube. Elvis was an expert live artist and obviously knew what he was doing with his band. The Beatles were an embarrassment, floon. They sucked live.

Wow.

You purposely skip over John Lennon's first four releases before getting to "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" which was really his 5th album by 1970.

"Working Class Hero"
"God"
"I Found Out"
"Mother"

I did not think the tracks were all that great.

And even so, it still failed to go number one.

All of the ex Beatles made at least one five star release by the mid seventies, even "Ringo" Of course, Elvis made a lot more.

George Harrison "All Things Must Pass"
Ringo Starr "Ringo"
Paul McCartney "Band On The Run"

None of them feature Yoko Ono.

"Imagine" was Lennon's follow up to POB but only got a three star rating in my Rolling Stone Record Guide.

It was either accept Yoko or not. However, most people I know do not want Yoko Ono screaming out of their stereos. What is the point of being an artist that doesn't give his audience what they want to hear. John Lennon did cave in to doing love songs that he criticised Paul McCartney so harshly over. "Double Fantasy" was full of love songs.

I didn't ask you that!!

I asked you if you've heard it!

The avant-garde albums John and Yoko made before "Plastic Ono Band" was released were never intended to be commercial. They were the two of them just screwing around and trying different things.

No recording artist would release an album meant for commercial purposes that spanned an entire side.

That's just foolishness.

John did it for Yoko.

Something Elvis would NEVER do for Priscilla!!!!

John had a purpose.

"POB" was John letting his anger out.

He didn't get high and have angry sex with Yoko!

"Imagine" was much sweeter.

While true that I think Elvis should have included Priscilla in his life as his wife and value her opinions, Priscilla was not an artist so why would Elvis want her singing on his records? Elvis wanted a stay at home wife that wasn't not career minded. He always said that. Priscilla changed and Elvis was still the same. If he wanted to be married to another musician or actress, he wouldn't have picked Priscilla. Elvis gets a bad rap sometimes because people fail to truly understand him.

I think John Lennon rejected The Beatle pop craft and got tired of the formula expected of him. But by including Yoko Ono, he was forcing his audience and even other musicians to accept her.
