What garbage! How frustrating it must be to search for damaging material on a candidate and only be able to come up with this garbage to right about. Jonah's opinion is not worth the piece of paper it's written on.
I guess we are witnessing a situation where political rivals and journalists have not been able to intelligently attack Obama's political record nor his personal past because of his transparant autobiography and disclosures, so they are grasping at fragile straws like what a pastor preached about, lives, or whether Obama is black enough, too black, too yuppie or elite. How sad, but typical.

Well he can't attack Obama's major accomplishments because he doesn't have any.
If you think what Obama said at the San Francisco fund raiser is correct, then you guys are more out of touch than was thought.

I do not know why this guy is in our paper. The "self-hating", or "self-loathing", construct is one of the most intellectually lazy arguments one can make. From Uncle-Toms to self-hating Jews, it is a poisonous, simplistic concept.

This is to say nothing of Mr. Goldberg's other ideas. They can be as vapid and inconsequential as he likes. But please refrain from printing this, or any other piece, that falls back on such embarrassing arguments.

Thank you,

Seriously, why do you even bother writing about politics if you can't bring yourself to provide any insight beyond a pop culture labeling treatise? How about going to write for the local High School paper about who the "Jocks", "Goths", "Nerds" & "Headbangers" are?

What troubles me about Obama's "bitter" comments is the lumping together of "guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them". He hastened to backtrack subsequently about Pennsylvanians' right to bear arms and on religion as a valid belief-system in good times and in bad but the xenophobia just dangles out there in terms of his argument and in view of the context in which the comments were made is downright troubling.

Barak Obama is without roots to continental America, as were his father and mother. And his thinking is not mainstream America, but rather a socialist idealism, dependent on the concept of Black victimization.
