I dunno. Maybe if Michael Douglas hadn't been so anxious to dump Cameron's ma (MD's first wife of twenty something years) to chase a little tail closer to his son's age, and focused a bit on this young man, this might've had a different ending. BTW, Michael Douglas did his own stint in rehab for alcohol abuse. Did the acorn fall far from the tree?
