Hippiefest brings '60s vibe to Greek Theatre

It was about the music, dude!-except for Melanie(who look like Momma Cass)and seemed bitter and resentful,-not to mention hokey. The Turtles were great as was Badfinger. Jack Bruce was exceptional and the show opener, Jonathan Edwards, was in fine form. ric Burdon was a little hit and miss vocally(also somewhat hokey) but what the fuck man-he's Eric Burdon!

I know Melanie was "VERY Well" received (Standing Ovation)and put on an AWESOME performance at the Dallas Hippiefest!!
Her voice is better than ever and her highly gifted son and guitar virtuoso Beau Jarred together were both excellent!
I know none of us looks like we did 40 tears ago but the fact that she is a female vocalist I guess she gets all the bad comments about gaining weight!
At 61 Melanie is still a true legend, great performer and inspiration of our Time!

boy I miss the 60's.....what a great time to grow up. we thought anything was possible. gonna cure the world of hate and racism. now look at the
s--thole we live in. even the dope we smoked then made you want to hug everyone, instead of shooting them like now. what's up with that? additives? trans fats? msg? ha haha too bad. i can remember a concert and hugging every stranger around me. where's the love now......
