As a woman who's biggest influence is Gloria Steinam, Meg Ryan actually admits that she is not a fan of her well known frothy romantic films and actually regrets doing them. She says movies like "Sleepless in Seattle" sends out a bad message to women making them feel as though they have to be in love in order to be happy. She says she often wishes she had gotten to do "Thelma & Louise" rather than "When Harry Met Sally" and has vowed to never appear in another romantic comedy as long as she lives. She's especially worried about how young women, like Rihanna, might think that romance is light and perfect, so much so they would be willing to stay in abusive relationships.
