Full story: Santa Cruz Sentinel

Congrats to Mr. Bedford and his crew. I didn't mind the old 'funky' Rio. Anyplace that presents alternative type acts and regularly throws its doors open for local benefits that helped our citizens deserves all our support.

I look forward to the new Rio. Well done.

Now if he'd just get those seats numbered and offer reserved seating throughout like most quality venues for more shows so we don't have to stand in line breathing exhaust fumes for an hour to get a decent seat. It's the main reason I don't go to shows there.

This is great: for years I would go to the Banff Mtn. Film Festival, and the sound was so bad it was like we were listening on a crappy boom box from K-Mart. The sound for the movies seems to be a major part of the experience, and I would always gripe: "subwoffers please"! Hope it is better.

It will be interesting to see whether the sound quality has really improved. I've walked out of a performance before because the sound was so bad, and their "fix" for the poor quality was to jack up the volume to uncomfortable levels -- even for acoustic music!

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Capricorn

You'll have a fabulous time if you're longing to see what's on offer in the sales, especially if you want to buy yourself some new clothes or cosmetics. However, you won't pay much attention to how much you're spending, and may even deliberately avoid thinking about it. Do yourself a favor and don't go overboard if you can't afford it.
