Maya Angelou to Host Show on XM Radio

Poet and novelist Maya Angelou said she agreed to host a weekly show for XM Satellite Radio's 'Oprah & Friends' channel partly because she's never hosted a radio show before.

Inspiration, challenges to our thinking, new ideas (and more) come to us in all sorts of ways. Our responsibility is to at the very least is listen and pay attention. Most of the things that have helped my in my lifetime have come from another person experssing themselves like Ms. Angelou.
Those of you who are so quick to critisize would benefit from a voluntary open mind. It's much easier than when our soul opens it for us becuase it has to so it can survive.

It's honestly amazing to me that anyone who lives in this day and age when things are so easy for them can possibly criticize someone who's not only their elder but someone who's live through much more awful things. And if you had initially READ 'I know why the caged bird sings', you probably wouldn't be here irritating the rest of us, and you might appreciate your elders just a little bit more.

Wow....get a life. Maya Angelou is by far one of the greatest writers to this day. People like you, who dont appreciate these things, and go around critisizing others make me sick.

Wow!!you obviously dont read books. If you do then you have absolutely no understanding of intelectual and real literature. So how about you read a few of her books (completely..no skipping pages) and try understanding the reality behind each and every word. You have a grudge..chip on the shoulder perhaps that needs to be filled. Maya is a full hearted and compationate woman with great need to help others. your coment is obsurd!!!I hope what ever is hurting you goes away and leaves a full hearted and wiser person.
