TMZ news about Maya Angelou gets it wrong

Maya Angelou's agent denied Sunday that the Pulitzer Prize-nominated author and poet was taken to the hospital Sunday, as reported by TMZ.com. TMZ reported that Angelou, 81, was in Los Angeles to be honored at the BraveHeart Awards, celebrating women who have made significant changes in their professional fields.

The thing that I hate about TMZ is that they have these douche-bag journalists that go around and bother celebrities and give them unwanted attention by putting a camera in their face also asking personal questions. Why do these jerks feel like the public has to know what celebs are doing in their private, personal lives? We the public, don't care what celebs do in their spare time and these paparazzi follow them everywhere just to get fake news to boost their ratings for their crappy show on Fox. TMZ should be pulled from the networks because they go too far MOST of the time when they report on celebs. Their show is boring and they do nothing but make fun of celebs and wonder why the celebrities don't like them.

If there wasn't TMZ there would be a different company that would do the same thing, there are plenty of people who want that kind of information so someone is going to provide it.

Interestingly TMZ's contacts allows them to do real news sometimes, such as when they broke the news of Michael Jackson's death before any of the "legitimate" news outlets.

TMZ doesn't hound all celebrities, only the ones that crave it, when was the last time you saw stars like Tom Hanks or Jodie Foster on TMZ or in any of the tabloid newspapers? These are big stars who don't whore themselves out to the tabloids and as a result their private lives aren't on display.
