When I first watched the video on You Tube on Tuesday, I stated, "God is awesome." He gave this man a golden voice. He went through his trials and tribulations and in his state of homelessness, someone took the time to read his sign on I76, listen to his voice, post it on the Internet and the rest is what we are reading and sharing in today. The most important thing of all, He gave God the glory. Some people who reach any fame in their life will say, the universe, and every other name in the world and will not give God the glory. For all the people who are homeless or discouraged, this is a message of hope for us to continue to walk by faith and don't give up. God is able of doing exceedingly abundantly more than we can ever ask or think and no matter what, Mr. Ted Williams of Brooklyn, New York is a living, walking, speaking testimony of Ephesians 3:20. The best is yet to come in 2011, if we believe. Praise the LORD!
Amen!!! God is awesome and if we seek he will find and answer our prayers just like he did for Ted and his mom. Shame on NBC to disapoint a 90 year old mother from celebrating her prodigal son's homecomming at the airport.

Here is a man,if you choose to call him that, that let his mother, then 70, worry for twenty years about him and you want to make him a hero? How stupid are you people? This person should be ashamed of himself and not one should make him feel welcome anywhere.
It is a great story of mothers perseverance in prayer and God's Glory and forgiveness.

And Ted gives God the glory.

Sorry but I don't believe that, for not one of us is free of sin. Stealing isn't the only sin in the world.

Nice story, and I am glad for the guy. What I don't understand though, is why this newspaper would have the video pulled from YouTube. Sure, it is theirs, but this shows the shortsightedness of todays newspapers. I know, having worked for one for five years before retiring for the second time. They just don't get new media, nor do they understand how to truly leverage it to their benefit.
I also find that difficult to understand. Why hide such an amazing story after publishing it?

There are always those such as you who feel no one deserves a second chance. You sound like Scrooge, calling us stupid because you can't comprehend human compassion. One day you could need that second chance, for you have no idea what tomorrow may bring. You surely are aware that drugs and alcohol change the personality and mind, rendering the victim very unlike his normal self, are you not? Instead of criticising, why can't you be happy to see a human being freed from his mistakes and given a new start? Jesus gives us all a second chance, so who are you to complain about this man's new lease on life? Would you prefer that he had remained homeless, freezing and starving?

Congratulations Ted....stay sober, keep your head on straight and enjoy your life now. Love to see someone straighten themselves out. The man that videotaped you and got you on youtube should be proud of himself for helping someone change their life. Good luck to you Ted.
