What are these people thinking?

Full story: The Reporter

The recent editorial cartoon by college student Nilton Morelos-Servin and article by University of California, Davis, student Ashleigh Cowan makes me want to reconsider the 18-year-old vote.

"...how have we come to a place where we can condemn a successful woman and the majority of Alaskan voters as idiots..."

How? It's real simple:

1) There was this idiot.
2) The idiot was found to have a strong belief in religious hoo-ha.
3) John McCain became convinced that in order to become King of the religious idiots, he'd need to have one on his ticket.
4) McCain certainly realized that by choosing the idiot as his vp running mate, he'd be selling out not only his own core values, but his entire nation.
5) He didn't care.
6) Ladies and Gentlemen: I now present you with:(drumroll)

7) The singularly most unqualified, most incompetent, most completely moronic, idiotic and ignorant human being to have ever been chosen as a potential leader of the United States of America.

8) Idiot.

9) Bummer.

10) Hey McCain: Smooth move, ex-lax. Obama thanks you from the bottom of his heart.

I woulda had Romney. But nobuddy asked me. I'll still vote for McCain, though, because Obama will tax us to death and appoint liberal judges to the Supreme Court.

PD describes exactly how many, many people see both Obama and Biden: "The singularly most unqualified, most incompetent, most completely moronic, idiotic and ignorant human being to have ever been chosen as a potential leader of the United States of America." The two empty suit lawyers who want to be professional politicians. A poll concerning trustworthness leaves only one group of persons lower than attorneys....Actors. Matt Damon and the rest of the boobs please leave our country as you said you would. PD, clearly, you speak without any authority, but only demostrate your own ignorance to state such trash, relative to another's beliefs, especially when you have no first hand knowledge. Your character has just been impeached by a jury of your peers. Accordingly, with such crap you detract from the veracity and believability of your other comments which leaves them meritless. Keep it up -- you're your own worst enemy

Hey JustJ...Are you rich??? No????? Then, no worries, Obama just wants the rich people to pay more in taxes. And considering they have made TONS of money during the Bush/Cheney administration, it seems only fair that they have to pay some of it back. I am dumbfounded over all you people defending the wealthy slobs who have been sucking money off of the middle class for so long.

I'm betting that McCain will live out his term if he is elected and that Sarah Palin will only be noticed because she is so cute. What has Chenny done? I can't remember anything, so what's up with that?

Gov. Pailen has a number of skills. She hasn't gotten as far as she has without anything, nor has she done it without some powerful help. She has an ability to appeal to certain groups that McCain wasn't reaching on his own. She may also have a combination of charisma and ruthlessness that has proved useful to her.

I'm fairly certain that Obama and Joe Biden:

1) know the meaning of the words, "Bush Doctrine."

2) Understand that dinosaurs did not roam the planet 6,000 years ago.

3) Do not consider GW Stupid's immensely idiotic, completely accidental invasion of Iraq, to be a "task of God."

4) Have never allowed their unelected spouses to pursue personal, illegal revenge firings against state employees.

5) Have never been members or supporters of secessionist organizations.

Obama and Biden also:

6)Understand that proximity to Russia can not somehow imbue one with an expertise in the field of foreign relations.

7) Can actually name one or two of the newspapers/periodicals they read on a regular basis.

8) Have never spent $150,000 of their party's political funds on lingerie and shoes,(while at the same time, labeling their opponents as "elitists.")

9) Are allowed by their handlers to speak without first asking permission.

10) Do not have unmarried, pregnant, teenage daughters, while promoting abstinence, Jesus and promise rings as the only acceptable (to Palin) methods of birth control.

11) Have not cruelly carried to term, accidental pregnancy, with foreknowledge that the coming child will live it's entire life as a vegetable.

12) Have not been denied endorsement by the leading newspapers of their OWN home states.

Umm... you don't really want me to keep going, do you?

You have to admit that Governor Palin makes the incumbent in the White House seem like a genius by way of comparison. The only reason that she was selected is that in today's politics, it is image that sells and not ideas.

How else can one try to explain the $150,000 wardrobe & makeup expenses paid by GOP contributors?

I think you have given more than a fair response.
I actually like both the candidates for a variety of reasons. I have a very large problem with Palin. Would like to see her give a straight answer to any question of significance. given her aggressive attitude, I suspect she will not just sit in the background as some previous V.P.s have done. 150k on "stuff is a bit over the top. what else will she take advantage of?

There may have been other viable candidates but none of them could see Russia from their houses. ;-)
