Hello. I'm trying to find the name of a film and its leading male and female stars. It was made in the early 60s and the plot is: a man lives in apartment above a shop owned by a lady who happens to be a witch (unbeknown to the man). She falls for him and thinks she can make him fall for her without putting a spell on him. However, she discovers he is getting married the next day so doesn't have enough time to make him fall in love withher naturally so goes for the spell option. He falls deeply in love with her and calls off his pending marriage to the other woman. Eventually, wracked with guilt, she tells him and removes the spell at which point he hates her. Of course alls well in the end and they fall in love naturally. I think Jack Lemmon had a part playing her brother who played the bongos.

Hi there,
I am trying to find the name of a 50's film: It's something about a pool of secretaries working at a firm that answers questions for people? People call in with questions and the women find the answers? Kind of obscure. I think there is a threat that a machine/computer will come in and replace all their jobs? Does anyone remember this film??

Pamela, you might be thinking of Jean Hagen. She played Lina in Singin' in the Rain, and was in many other movies. Hope this helps!

The name of the film is BELL, BOOK AND CANDLE (1958) starring James Stewart and Kim Novack. YUes, that's Jack Lemmon playing the bongos.
