How do your parents rationalize you? That must be tough!

Good for you Marie! Marie has been supporting the Gays much longer than she get's credit for. I was there in the SLC temple when she married her first gay Husband Stephen Craig.

Real life is complex and Gays are part of everyone's real lives. It's been said that until the parents, brothers. aunts, friends, etc. of gays stand up to the hate mongers who constantly depict us as depraved, sinful, sexual deviants and child molesters, that there won't be real progress for Gays in any society.

It's true, my parents know my husband of ten years, our three children, they know what good people we are and how happy and loving our home is and yet they voted yes on prop h8te.

Maybe they think we're an exception and that all "other" gays live in bath houses and on Gay Pride Floats"

Oh the shame of the religious communities around the world trying to capitalize on the hatred they incite for gay children. Hopefully the shame will be enough to send them into hiding once gays achieve full equality, and we won't have to hear from them ever again.

Yay, Marie! To me, she is an example of what a Christian should be: loving and kind to all her fellow humans.

Oh Mi Chan, I know how you must feel, being a Japanese Girl trying to fit in amongst the small minded in Kentucky. Co-opting their hate won't buy their acceptance. Don't confuse their fervor for hating gays as a sign that they've accepted you. Hatred is like a "Water Willy" whipping about in the front yard, only instead of water is spews shit and slime. It's so random and uncontrollable. the best you can do is to shut it down. Good luck with your "Choice" to be Japanese, a minority. Maybe your church can have you pray that away when they're done bashing gays. I know the Mormon Corporation my parents attend taught me my whole life that if "Dark skinned" people were righteous enough, God would make them white.

Hang in there, you feelin' the spirit yet? Let it light your torch, sharpen your pitch fork and tie that noose for you. All this Lynching would just be so hard without God's help...right?

How does the fact that her daughter is a lesbian show a failure of her parenthood? Are you living in a cave somewhere?

In all honesty, I must admit that you(pl) and I both have a single small similarity of personality disorder... Varying degrees of masochism. But, the same could be said about me and those who mutilate themselves in different ways than you.

You can be loving and kind to gay people, and still not agree with marriage for gays. She is simply not following the tenants of her Mormon religion. Catholics and Christians agree that marriage is between a man and a woman. I have gay friends and love them, but I disagree with their rights to marry.

Maybe she can have a infomercial like the rest of the washed up Sewer Hollywood crowd who will do anything for a buck...maybe she can support female teachers who have sex with the students?

With friends like you, who needs enemas!

This just proves that the more people come out of the closet, the more support there will be for equal rights.

No, we do not have equal rights. In all but a few states, only heterosexuals have the right to marry to the one they love; gay people are denied that right. This amounts to special rights for heterosexuals. Now do you get it, or do you need it explained a little more slowly?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, your circular logic is faulty and you really need to plug into a different light socket for awhile.

Your religion does not get the right to say who I can and can't be with and how I live my life.
