I think she is very smart to bring the media to her attention. I don't find it offensive at all becuase many actors has played the same role on TV and films. I agree with you. Once again Madonna has stood up for equality, just like she did with the "like a prayer" and "what it feels like for a girl" videos. The qoute used in this article from Mohammad Ali is a very ignorant one. Madonna clearly has a completely different view today than she had when she started her career. Just listen to the "american life" album! She doesn't "mock" christianity at all! The performance contained many messages about the suffering in the world e.g. AIDs, starvation on the video screens.

As the saying goes, though, you're only as young as you feel. As another saying (from Spenser) goes, "Of the soul the body form doth take." As you can see from those pictures of her on the topix.net web site, she is still looking pretty, well, "hot". Her youthful behavior and attitude seems to have therefore validated Spenser's maxim.
