It would be interesting if the study were conducted on animals on different diets, i.e. raw meaty bones and organs, raw with veggies, both high and low end kibble, home-made cooked diets, etc. What a lot of money to spend when I think common sense would tell us that these problems are diet related.

My rescue dog (age 12) had ongoing problems until we changed to Nature's Recipe Vegetarian Formula dog food. She gets no meat and she is fine now and for the past 5 years. No more gloppy poop and no more bad smell enamating from her.
