Great move. We need more entertainment like this here in Cow-ton. Maybe someone good like this for the fair, also?

I'm glad that the fair board has decided to use the fair grounds instead of letting it sit dormant except for the fair, a tractor pull and demo derby. I think that Carroll Co has a gold mine in the fair grounds and it should be used for more entertainment during the year. It would bring in traffic to the County area which produces revenue. We could have motorcycle races, beauty contests. track meets, farmers markets, flea markets, community business seminars to let the community know all about the businesses that are here in the local area and what they do. The limits are only left to the imagination of what can be done with the fairgrounds.
This is my opinion and I'm sticking to it!!

This will turn out to be another fairboard bust! They have destroyed every event they have taken over.... Wake up people!

Once again the great Deputies of Carroll County will be asked to work security for free as they have for the last four years at the County Fair. These deputies have to feed their families also.
Who's great idea is it to make them work for free so the Fair Board can pocket the money?

Excuse me but its been eight years that the deputies have worked the fair for free to the fair board, the Sheriff has made this happen and has paid his deputies out of the county funds to work the fair just to save the fairboard money ! Our taxes are paying for the fair to be safe and the Fairboard to pocket the money and it will keep on going as long as the good old boys are togeather.

The fair board has been asked many times for the use of the fairgrounds for events but they are over priced or won't reply to requests. The Fairgrounds are the property of the tax payers of Carroll County not just a select few. The fairboard wants to get rich on one event instead of using their heads. Someone is getting rich off the use of the grounds and its not the tax payers of Carroll County.

The fairgrounds is not owned by the county, but rather the Carroll County Agricultural Society. Also, the fair board is not getting rich off of the use of the grounds. Go to one of their monthly meetings, and you will see it is just the opposite.
