DAUGHTRY is AWESOME!!!! 3 AMA's, 11 Billboard awards, 4 Grammy nominations and 3.5 albums sold!!! Guess they don't have too many flaws.

You know who else is AWESOME!!! Britney Spears! She's a talented musician... everyone loves her, she wins lots of awards. She has no flaws either! Oh, wait.... never mind.

I'm with Michele...I have friends who attended this concert and they had NOTHING NEGATIVE to say...on the contrary they believe this concert was awesome and couldn't get enough of this multi-talented band. We know there are the Chris Daughtry 'haters' out there...but they've never really allowed themselves to experience the true talent this young man has put together. Why go to a concert if you don't like the group?

it's a bunch of pre-manufactured, corporate rock concerned only with marketing and merchandising and when the artist is over-exposed and over-played they will drop them like a bag of rocks in a river.

His grandmother. She listened to half, then returned it.... She walked out with Metallica Master of Puppets and could be heard saying, "What was I thinking... talk about sanitariom, Chris had me going nutz".

Were you even at the concert? Why would anyone expect a live concert to sound "exactly" like the studio versions? At least he sang, and his band played Real instruments. It wasn't synthasized or lip-sync versions of songs like the boy and girl bands.(you can't even call them bands). They don't actually play instruments.
I thought that Daughtry was fantastic. And, everyone that I have spoken to says the same thing. I think it's the jealous husbands that are full of criticism for this talented, gorgeous man that their wifes are drooling over.

That's my opinion. You gave yours. I'd wait in line again all day to see my favorite band, Daughtry!

All these people defending Daughtry are the exact people the studios were aiming at when they created him. He's generic and blase enough that preteen girls and 30-something housewives both can daydream about him.

As for the "Why did you go to the concert?" question above...

The article's author is the MUSIC CRITIC FOR THE ORLANDO SENTINEL. It's his JOB to know quality music from predigested crap. He knew what it was and didn't like it. It went down easy for you didn't it?

And Oklahoma is *THE* hotbed for what's hot in musical taste, right?

Music is subjective, as is any art. Why do people think their taste is any better than anyone else's? Pompous, stupid, sheeple. The people listening to Daughtry aren't the TARDS here. It's the people who think their opinion is more important than someone else's happiness.

Well said my friend...this is just a small example of a larger problem I see over and over again on these boards...more like in society. Wouldn't people be better served if these comments were on your own personal experience. Let the people that enjoyed the show or have a fun story relish in that and those that had a bad or negative experience share their personal account as well without either one being right or wrong. It seems to me this would bring about a healthy exchange of posts allowing a chance to share as opposed to be ridiculed or be some miserable person's punching bag

Chris Daughtry is a great singer, songwriter, and performer. He was the #1 selling artist of the year and has won awards and was nominated for 4 grammys. That speaks for itself.Imagine touring for almost a year straight like Daughtry has and performing day after day.How would your voice sound? He sounded strained during his more rock songs but when he performed onstage alone he was right on key and incredible!!!I have been to 3 Daughtry concerts and have loved all 3.The only complaint I had at the Hard rock concert was the 3 opening bands.Took the life out of most of us and my feet were killing me!!In the end,I would go to every Daughtry show if I could. He has proven to find fame and success beyond a show like American Idol.I know he will be a legend....

I cannot understand Daughtry's fame. I have heard his first album and BORING does not begin to describe it. He may have won a bunch of AMA awards and other pats on the back, but that is more a statement of how pathetic rock and roll is today than a statement of how good he is. In the 60's and 70's he would have never made it beyond playing in his local bars. If that.
And I'm from NC - less than 2 hrs from where Daughtry calls home.

Haven't we all been expecting this. There's been close to 2 years of Duaghtry the rock god. He's already worn out his welcome. His album was OK for what it is (pop rock angst cr_p), but should it sell 4 million. Please! I think Duaghtry is finally beginning to fade away. Let's hope.
