Arizona's anti-immigration law draws protests, boycott vows

Apr 27, 2010 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: McClatchy DC

California Latino rights activists and attorneys are leading a charge against a new Arizona law they say violates federal law and will inevitably lead to racial profiling.

Linds Ronstadt was an embarrasment- rude obnixious butting in not letting the other guest speaker talk when he gave her time, she is too ignorant to realize there is a time warp from voice to ear transmission and told him to butt out when he was responding to what he heard. Educate yourself Linda before you blabber off at the mouth.

What is wrong with you people, Don't you remember that at some point someone in your family was an illegal immigrant. Unless you are a native american you have no right to speak that way. I understand that you have an opinion but don't you realize that we are going back in time. I know that you hispanics being affected but not only are hispanics going to be affected every single illegal immigrant is going to be affected no matter what. And even people that are here legally are going to be affected, can you honestly say that you are going to like being stopped to be asked for statues, maybe at first it won't bother you but the more they do it, the more is going to start getting to you. So please don't throw stones since you know that at sometime someone in your family was an illegal and came to here to give there their family a better life.

ICE should be at every rally that opposes the new law. That would only ICE to make a lot of arrests without much effort.

ARIZONA is the first battle ground in the war of the border. ARIZONA will lead the way to stop the growing tide of criminals who enter the United States. There are legal avenues to follow in order to enter the U.S. The U.S. must enforce the law. The U.S. Government is not enforcing the law and therefore states that have the courage to stand up to the criminal element must do so. ARIZONA is the first state to say ENOUGH!

Very interesting how the ILLEGAL Immigrant proponents managed to organize approximately 70 simultaneous organized protests encompassing thousands of professionally printed protest signs and banners! Why have they mischaracterized the provisions of the contents within the Arizona Law?Who is paying for this expensive endeavor? The ILLEGAL Immigrants certainly are not! I'd put money on a bet ILLEGAL Immigrant Rights groups, the unions and other Socialist political groups have both organized and pad for the protests! Maybe Mexico's government in paying for it?

I find it more than a little ironic that the hispanics and their mouthpiece advocacy groups
and schidt disturbers are citing their "concerns"
that Arizona's anti-immigration law will only serve
as the catalyst for "racial profiling". "La Raza"
(The Race) can't resist turning it into a racial issue when all Arizona is trying to do is enforce laws that the federal government refuses to enforce to protect its soverignty and citizen safety. In essence, Arizona is saying "We've waited for the federal government to step in and do its job, and thus far all we've seen is alot of absolutely nothing" while her citizens are being killed by illegal foreign nationals. This is just one more instance of La Raza using OUR laws against us, and its pathetic. All these threats to boycott Arizona, when what needs to be boycotted is the District of Columbia. If Arizona's anti illegal immigration law (How is it that these mouthpiece groups AND the MSM consistently fail to use the word "illegal" before the word "immigrant?") gets defeated as "unconstitutional, I think this will be the last straw for We The People, and move it from The Courts to the streets. Here we have people who shouldn't even be here calling for boycotts, demonstrations and civil disturbance. It appears to be "open season" on the people of Arizona, yet they can't be allowed to protect their state from the violence resulting from this mass illegal immigration because it might offend that same group of people who don't belong here illegally in the first place. This is just absolutely bizzare. Only in America. We've seen whats happenbing to the U.K., but I guess that doesn't bother anybody.
We haven't learned a danm thing, have we?

You're freakin' nuts, Pal. NOBODY in my family is here illegally, and never was. And your typical analogy is nothing more than pure, unadulterated bullschidt.

"People remember "]What is wrong with you people, Don't you remember that at some point someone in your family was an illegal immigrant. Unless you are a native american you have no right to speak that way..." Are you SERIOUS??!! That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard anyone say in a blog! I don't know about your relatives, unless they are a bunch of criminals or what, but my ancestors came to America legally. They applied for citizenship, were required to take classes on US history and had to learn to speak ENGLISH. They had to take an oath of allegiance to our country and vow to adapt and abide by our cultures and our laws! Everyone that desired to be a citizen of our country must do this, why should only ONE country be exempt when everyone else must abide by it?
I say Americans should boycott Mexico and anything having to do with that country. They refuse to let Americans into their country to live without proper documentation and proof of citizenship! They will not allow our gangs to live there while we traffic in illegal drugs and assault weapons nor will they allow us to shoot, kidnap, maim, murder, behead and destroy their land. These hypocrites also refuse to support us and our families with free healthcare, housing and education, assistance with food and clothing while we do all of those things. Not only do they threaten deportation, but guarantee steep fines, imprisonment or they just shoot to kill. What a bunch of RACIST, terrorist hypocrites!! The utter gall of these lawbreakers to complain about unfair treatment when they continue to break the law!

SB 1070 is merely a tactic to allow law enforcement in Arizona to racially profile, mostly brown skinned people in order to harass and deport. First time offense is a civil matter, not a criminal matter. Crime and border crossings in Arizona is way down over the past two years. If you want to stop this already slowing tide of "illegal" immigration all you need to do is prosecute the employers who hire them. Most are here for work because the US trade policies have forced them into a survival mode and decimated the Mexican economy.
The Republican Party bigwhigs love the cheap labor. Their policies since Reagan have been to destroy the average working American middle class by outsourcing their jobs so they cannot be held accountable for destroying the air, water and health of the people and make larger and larger profits for themselves. That's what Republicanism and Conservatism has degraded into since Reagan. They love to wave the flag but under that flag is a badge of fascism, corporatism and a real contempt for the average American. Real patriots these Republicans are.

And for the record, Linda Ronstadt's involvement is a human rights one. These people are not deserving of the heinous treatment right wingers wish to heap on them. They came here to build your house, not destroy it. America is better than this. Right Wing America isn't.
