I flew them for teh first time about 6 months ago. They only have 737's and you're packed in like sardines ! There's more room on a New York City subway car seat.

I had a experience about 4 years ago with Southwest I had a tee shirt on with a Pride Logo on it and was the only one in first class funny how the beverage cart never made it up to first class also had a flight attendant across from me every time I got up to use the rest room she would have some reason to say I could not use it not to mention the dirty looks I'm glad it was a short flight at the time I thought it was the times and I had a one way ticket after reading this I can see otherwise, I did e-mailed corporate and never got a response.

Well . Lets be real folks. There is a time an place for everything. A small kiss would have been ok I'm sure , but if they were straight up making out . It's just not the place no matter who she is. As for suing everbody is sue happy . Her and you lover made a bad choice. I've been on southwest airlines, if they couldn't tell i was gay then thay are blind and dumb, and i was treated great, and the beverage cart made it to me.

We fly Delta all the time. I'm sure they know knew we are gay. Never a problem then again..... we don't kiss on the flight. Besides I want to make it to Flordia sunny white beaches and NOT stuck in Atlanta International airport! LOL

South WEST Airlines. Atlantic Southeast Airlines is a different company.

Love how AP misspells Hailey's name in the last line of the story. Who are they hiring as editors these days?

According to the story, the conversation with the flight attendant was recorded. I want to hear that recording.

And does anyone seriously believe that if a heterosexual couple smooched on a flight, that anyone woud have made an issue of it? Anyone?

Southwest claims that other passengers complained. What? Like Juan Williams mouthed off about people on planes in traditional muslim attire?(I doubt he could tell a muslim from a hindu, and it makes me sikh.)

How many times I've been on a flight, and the parents of the unruly kid in the row in front or behind me are totally oblivious to the disturbance their kid is causing....Kicking the back of my seat for half an hour on end... Staring at me over the seatback (you're supposed to be buckled in, rugrat!) while I'm trying to read a Spider Robinson novel... And I'll tell you what; if I complain about it, nobody does a damn thing.

Oh, but a couple of girls lock lips, and suddenly it's time to call in the air marshall.

Hailey, sue them to the wall!

Tolerance is a virtue of fundamental respect for the indiviuality, autonomy and freedome of others.

It is the antithesis of totalitarianism.

I would want to hear the whole story before deciding that Southwest acted improperly. If it was just a few little kisses, that's one thing, but if they were going overboard, then I have to agree with the airline. No couple, gay or straight needs to be making out in public, it does make others uncomfortable.

If this had been a straight couple......we'd have NEVER heard about it......and that's my point. Regardless of a little kiss or a lip lock.......it was not right what the airline did.

Funny thing was something like this happened at Dodger Stadium, all because a Homophobic Security Guard over reacted and it cost him his job and the Dodgers had to pay for this man's reaction.....this is no different in my opinion.

I bet the Flight Attendant simply overreacted and it is going to cost the Airline!!!

Hi Rose!

I know there have been such incidences, but Southwest has a good record of treating people equally. I would not expect them to act improperly. I am not giving them a pass on this, but I also do not want to condemn if it is not deserved.

It is my belief that the issue is with the Fight Attendant and Southwest is gonna pay the price.....just saying!!!

Hope all is well for you and the family:-)

Fight flight? A Freudian slip?

We are doing better, my husband got into a bad auto accident about a month ago, doing physical therapy for 2 more weeks. Fortunately, not his fault as he was stopped at a light at the time. Getting better.

Hope you and Mrs Whitewater are well.
