With such a great cast I was excited to watch it but... not so funny.
Not to mention the writer's unfortunate slams at the idea of adoption. Must make all the adopted kids watching feel great! |

How out of touch is Amy Sherman-Palladino? Are we really supposed to believe a book editor lives in a GIANT two floor apartment in Manhattan? That's the best joke on the show!

my adopted son watched the episode - how hurtful. I have spent countless hours teaching him how special he is, and how special his adoption story is. The subject matter is supposed to deal with the pain of infertility and the noble desire to parent and yet the comments were so casually thrown out that she "won't adopt, because she can't even let strangers use her toilet". While the callous nature of this statement is obvious, it is also a silly and outdated way to think about adding a child to your family. Adoption isn't the right choice for everyone, but to ridicule it is cruel and shameful.
