She ain't done yet. For the fifth time since July, the first family has set plans to board Air Force One for a frilly vacation, a 10-day return trip to exclusive Martha’s Vineyard where they are expected to stay at the 28-acre oceanfront Blue Heron Farm that rents for up to $50,000 a week.

Peasants bow.

I'd like to see an itemized rundown of all tax dollars paid out for vacations...for this POTUS (and fam) and the previous 4 before him.

Isn't the writer comparing apples to oranges.

Laura Bush's travels (that the writer espoused on) were to promote Cancer awareness and visit troups.

Michele Obama's travel (this one) is STRICTLY a vacation.

IMO, there's a difference.

No mater what the reason, the trip was ill advised and a total extreme expense of money. as you said, it was a boad move for pr reasons. Plenty of places in America that could use the publicity and the spending of monies instead of Spain.

Just another Obama dumb move. Keep it up.

I wish it was only 75k a day. I would love to see an audit of the cost of rooms, food, personal staff, military, etc. just to send so many people over with her for her vacation. We're talking millions folks.

Doesn't it seem strange she left Obama alone for his birthday?
Is Monica hiding under his desk? Isn't it funny that his "friend" the ex White House social secretary that allowed party crashers into a White House party is now the CEO at a Chicago Publishing Company? Something stinks in Washington...now all I wonder is how are they going to blame it on Bush?

Enfin je me rappelai le pis-aller d’une grande princesse à qui l’on disait que les paysans n’avaient pas de pain, et qui répondit : Qu’ils mangent de la brioche.

Finally I recalled the last resort of a great princess who was told that the peasants had no bread, and who responded: "Let them eat brioche."
