The headliner's outfits pleased the "Glamberts." Factions of the pop-music scene have grown steadily hysterical in recent months, making over-the-top dynamics an instant means, not a hard-earned end, so much so that the glitter and gossip over a TV singing competition's second-place finisher can be fast eclipsed by Lady Gaga video epics and ...

Im sorry, but I went to SS in Min and seen Adam for the first time live! I have followed him since idol but my friends I took with me have not! We all came to the comclusion that this was by far the most exciting, epic concert we have ever been too! From the moment he stepped on stage he owned us and when he left we were left with a yearning for more! His vocals are insane and his presence overwhelming, his moves sexy, energetic, filling the whole stage preventing us from taking our eyes off of him for a second! There were 7 in our group from ages 18 to 30, 2 girls and 4 guys, all straight! Not one of us could come down from our high of Adam Lambert for 2 days, in fact we are all still discussing the fact that we dont even think this guy is real! It was Epic! We are all on a mission now to get more tickets for his tour! That my friend, is our review! And our truth! Adam isnt going anywhere soon except up!!!

Why so negative? Adam represent positivity, love, acceptance and honesty, can't say that about lot of artists/singers today. there is so much positive about his new video and what you ended up writing? Are you sure that is not homophobia?

Adam Lambert is the best male vocalist in the world for me. He has the charisma that's just so mesmerizing and he has the IT factor. He sings better live and not so many artist can do that nowadays. He can hit any note and he is by far the best entertainer. I have been to two of his concerts and I cannot wait to go again.

I may not be a 'glambert' fan, but i think u are being very cynical and sarcastic.. As a concert reviewer, u are supposed to elaborate more on the performanc, whether it was good or bad, and what was nice or bad about it.. But u didn't, instead, u just trashed on bout his style and just because he had help from heavyweights in the industry doesn't mean the song will be nice.. Not every song composed by heavyweights are considered nice..
Your comments seemed pre-biased(u sneer at every performance before the whole thing was even over) and that is where u fail as a journalist.

You have got to be kidding. This is what you have to say about Adam's performance? I have watched all the tour videos and it is nothing but spectacular. I will be seeing him in Seattle and can't wait. You have to mention the AMAs...why? Because he has male dancers. Please. Adam is an amazing performer. He is a "performance artist". Self proclaimed over the top. He wrote a number of the songs on his album. You don't give him the credit he deserves. He is a one in a life time talent. If you don't appreciate his music and art, then say so in one sentence and go write about someone else. But from album and single sales around the world, I'd say you are in the minority.

He's a boy... and he's theatrical. Get over it dude. Shesh! LOL. Curious though.... was that a concert review... or a personal reaffirmation that you like chicks?

Can't tell if you liked or disliked the variety in the set list! I thought it made for an awesome concert from a new artist on his first tour. I thought the show was well-paced and was both visually and musically a great ride! Adam Lambert's voice was spectacular. I still can't get over how great he sounds live with such a wide variety of songs. It was all very exciting. I had a blast!

That was a very confusing review. It sounds to like you were looking forward to trashing the show but ended up actually enjoying it so now you're all confused.

I see Adam's psycho fans are here already to attack the reviewer who ACTUALLY was at the concert and gave his sincere opinion. Poor Adam, he has to put up with these wackos!

who wears this kind of get up in the heat of summer - this guy is a clown, and looks silly. heard that new song, and saw the video - it is laugh out loud funny, not in a good way either. he is a joke, time to pull the plug on this poser and get back to some real music.

Mr. Joy - before you suffer the wrath of the Glamberts, let me help you out with a few edits you might like to make to your review:

1. Mr. Lambert has writing credits on at least 5 of the songs (and maybe more) he performed - the opening 2 numbers "Voodoo" and "Down The Rabbit Hole", Acoustic numbers "Aftermath" and "Broken Open", and also "Strut".(ps - was this a performance review or an album review, I couldn't really tell.

2. At no time in the show did Mr. Lambert wear a "diamond encrusted cape".

3. Costume changes - not hard to keep track of - Between 2 songs, took off one coat and a hat, put on a different coat, then later changed into a matching pants/vest outfit. Not that difficult or distracting. And you might want to add mention of the original dance and musical interludes during the costume changes.

4. Lambert opened the show to the gyrations of 2 female dancers. Were you even at the same show?

And with regards to the AMA reference - is this the only piece of Adam Lambert trivia that you could come up with? How unimaginative and stale.

5. Your photos show more shots of the openers, Allison Iraheta and Orianthi, but your review makes no mention of them. You clearly must have been impressed, so you might want to go add a word or two.

At least you closed this (quoting Mr. Simon Cowell) "self indulgent piece of rubbish" with kudos to the closing number "If I Had You", because as said by Mr. Lambert - "all we need in this world is some love"

What makes you think that the other commenters were not at the show? You might be surprised at how many are traveling from other states and countries to see him live.

I saw an earlier show and unless I was mistaken those are some very cute female dancers in the opening.

The performance I saw was truly excellent, amazing vocals and very entertaining.

I guess the writer of the article is not really into the theatrical style of Adam Lambert . Me I loooove theatrical and dramatic display of voice (Soaked) and clothes (Voodoo) and am not really into the "If I had you" part... Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder.

Yes, Mr Joy, it is difficult to give an objective review when you already have a bias against the subject you are reviewing and that comes through loud and clear in your meager post....Adams album is eclectic, nothing wrong with that, he covers many "styles" of music, and performs all his music live like no one else in current pop can. Yet you barely mention his masterful command of his vocals and choose to instead discuss his clothing, take stabs at his fan base (Rabid??? Reallly??), and try once again to box him into one safe place in your mind by aligning him with the rock influences from your past...please, let this man breathe, he is so much more complex and has so much more to offer us than men like you will ever be willing to understand and see......

Hilarious, I concur with your interpretation of this reviewers is so transparent how many straight men just cannot handle Adams appeal...they don't get it and it threatens them so they resort to attacking his female macho....

Huh? Is this a review of his show? Did you actually attend or take notes from people as they were leaving it doesn't sound like you were even there, for exampe he has 4 dancers, 2 guys and 2 girls and they are all great. But really how was the show? How did he sing? He wore a crazy costume and danced with two guys that's the sum total of what you have to say? No mention of the costumes and lighting and crazy visual all being carefully woven into a new orleans voodoo theme and his songs (yes some of which were written by others - heaven forbid!) also cleverally woven into that same theme to create a narrative that took us on a journey. He had 4 dancers 2 guys and 2 girls and they were all great and the choreography was also part of the narrative and theme, it was a clever show and he sang fantastic like he always does. He has sold out every show in minutes and the crowd lines up about 12 hours ahead of time in brutal heat to get a good spot to see him. His 15 minutes will go on forever.

Many responding were actually AT THE CONCERT too Michael and have a different opinion and experience so they take issue with this guys review....just because this man is a "journalist" and I question the integrity of his objectivity on this subject, does not mean he gets a free pass to spread his thinly veiled issues to the public...if stating the obvious makes me "psycho" then I guess I will take your nasty label..
