I dunno, I like 'em both. I think that when it comes to touching emotional lyrics, I like jesses a litte more. But when it comes to be powerful and live performance I like howards more, and they are the greatest band ever live!. But the best vocalist is Adam D! I just love his voice, greatest voice ever. So emotional! I like it

howard's singing and screaming is more powerfull however i think jesse's lyrics for alive or just breathing were more repetetive than howards and as for live performance its obvious

Totally going to have to go with Howard on this one, Jesse was good, but Howard is better, and KSE is awesome live.

howard is a more powerful vocalist because he has that mammoth scream and it is brutal. Yet he has the soft melodic voice that gets the ladies and makes him that much better then Jesse (not to bag on that dude). Jesse's voice was good but he's situation would be different if Killswitch Engage was led by him still. To say the least, Element of One and When the Balance is broken really caught his voice in action.

I reckon Jesse sang with so much more passion. It's almost as if you can see the world though his eyes, experience the corruptness and evil like he does. Yet, Howard combines different vocal abilities to gel the best lyrics I've ever heard together. My personal preference lies with Howard. And for those who might think that Jesse is a better screamer (or growler), go listen to ome Blood has Been Shed and hear the pure majestical power of Howard Jones' voice.

OK I own all the albums and i have been listening to the band since 04 I am in love with this band.
Howard and jesse are both gods in the metal world it depends on what your looking for.
And dont forget Adam D hes been doing a shit load of backing.
If your looking for soft stuff seen in reject yourself Thats all adam
But then again he can pull off some of best screams as well.
when it comes to live performance Howards your man the dude sounds exactly the same as on the album and his voice commands to the audiance and I completely forget all of my pain and suffering when listening to him sing.and I can feel the heartbreak as if it were my own
When Jesse sings I can feel every emotion every thought going through his head theres a pain in his voice that i have yet to experiance anywhere else with anyother band.
I started listening to the band because my brother got me into a certing video game Series Resident Evil and so I watched the movies cause i played the games well at the end of the second movie The End Of Heartache was played it the first thing you hear when the movie stops.
I fell in love with the song.
Later on down the road after purchasing that album I was curious to see how the original band sounded I had never heared the old stuff just the end of heartache at that point and ADD wasnt even a dream yet. When I picked up Alive or just breathing I hated the guys voice it had its perks but I basically was dissapointed I skipped thorughout the cd and heared my last seranade. Then for some reason I couldnt stop listening to the album and liked jesse's voice even though at first I couldnt stand his voice
So both singers are amazing it depends on what you look for in music In my opinion though Howard does a better job
