I though you article was pretty fair. What everyone has to consider is that they have to follow Southwest's policy. This type of thing happens all the time. I guess they could have an airplane seat at the gate for the person to sit in to measure their girth before getting on the flight like they have for luggagge. But then that would be rude, right? How about people who buy $39.00 tickets understand the rules?? Have you ever been on a plane after a big SWA fare sale? Walmart photos anyone? If the flight is full, large passengers will be asked to take another flight. They can't buy a ticket for two seats because there aren't two available. I for one, don't want to be in the middle seat between Mr. "Large kind of journalist", and Mrs. "should have been kicked off", do you?
