Hefty Kevin Smith tweets foul after airline ejects him, saying ...

Sure, and when he took up part of MY seat, I wouldn't get anything at all.
If you can't fit only in YOUR seat, maybe you should give me some money for the part of my seat you are taking up.
I fly weekly, and I see this all of the time. Many airlines have no policy at all, and I have been seated next to people that have no hope at all of putting down the arm rest, forcing me to squeeze over onto half my seat. If you can't fit, you need to pay for the seat you are going to take up.
I guess if you are somewhat famous for no good reason, you just raise a stink, and the airline apologizes and gives you a voucher.

He did buy two seats so good for him. He was able to put the arm rests down and he fit in a belt albeit with an extension. Why didn't SW have two seats available? He should have been given a blue medical jacket to insure two were available. I fly nothing but SW and love them but do agree they made a mistake in this case, obviously they realize that as well.
The flyers that get on sick are much worse than the larger passengers. You see it all when you fly weekly.

Standby ticket, never mind on the why no two seats available question. SW did the right thing.
