Shot here two years ago, "The Merry Gentleman" isn't exactly merry, and its portrait of a hit man in existential crisis isn't daisy-fresh. But Michael Keaton 's wry directorial debut will mean a lot to Chicago audiences interested in how their city's used onscreen.

I saw this movie on my birthday. It shows the dark side of life. I saw familier backgrounds and sat in the theater waiting on the credits to see if it was Chicago. It was. It will be worth watching again to look for things missed the first time. I found Tom B. to be quite handsome but by the middle of the movie felt a great hatred for his character. I really loved this movie.
