I have seen him here at a bar in IL. The poor guy smells like he has not showered in months and refused to pay his bar tab. He later sat outside with friends and smoked pot before heading home.

I would just like to say no matter what personal feelings people may have about Doug, he is a stand up guy in my book. I sent him a cd booklet and asked if he would autograph it,and like a true Gentleman he returned it signed. Doug may be going through some hard times , and made some people angry along the way, but no one will ever be able to take away his true God given talent as one of the Greatest country singers. I truly believe one day he will be back and continue to give us a country music cd at it's finest. Thank you Doug.

Doug, Thanks for the great night at the Sesser VFW. We really appreciate your generosity! It was a wonderful thing to do for the Veterans in Southern Illinois. Hope to see you again soon.

I haven't seen Doug in a long time . But , what I can say about the time I spent around him would all be good . He gave me my first shot on stage when I was trying to get something going . He broyght me on stage in Pensacola Florida and went out on the dance floor and danced to every song i sang with the band . I truly apreciate what he did for me and wish that I could hear from him . Doug is a great songwriter and singer . That is what I miss , I am still a big fan of his music . Doug I would love to hear from you if possible . Maybe one day we can write together . You are not remembered for what you done in the past you will be remembered how they couldnt keep you down how you picked your self up with dignity , grace, and the country boy way.
