So what do you want? A 2012 press conference in which KR will discuss all interviews he ever gave?
An adult learns from his past and moves on.

Btw - an adult this, and adult that... I've noticed you're using this expression a lot. Wonder why.

I think, ardith, you already know about my inability to give right and full quotes and excuse me, if I'd be wrong.I think, you said it few times before, you find, people must have right to speak openly about their homosexuality. So far, right?
( By the way, could it be that word "homosexual" has some ..., I don't kow, some strange taste in English or in North-American culture? It seems, another people hier don't use it?)
If I interpret your words right, I'm absolutely agree with you.Without doubts.
Only, in my opinion, all rights must be two-way roads.Everyone need right to speak so much, as wish about his/her sexuality.
And everyone need right to not speak. If don't wish.
You know, one-way roads are often a cause of crashes.Eventually, with human victims.I'm quite sure, it's not what you're eager for.

I couldn't have phrased it better. That IS exactly the point: He's got the right to speak about his sexuality if he wishes or not to speak about it if he doesn't want to - just as everybody else.

What do I want? I want him to tell the truth about 20 years ago. I want to hear the truth and for him to stop acting like our national security depends on his secrets. Keanu has a sh*t load of stories to tell and believe it or not, I want to hear them. I'm fascinated. Some books are written about the past and most people have already lost interest. I want to hear about the Hollywood of the 80s and 90s and he probably knows about the most rich and powerful...if he can remember.

One thing we can be sure of, Jane did indeed have different sexual experiences and if you think he was trying to back off from the truth...I don't know but there was no misunderstanding about him being adventurous when it came to sex. And I feel very sure that he would not have bothered to be in some of his films, if he was too timid to walk on the wild side. I'm very sure he did.

It's not about what Jane did or didn't do, ardith. It's about what he SAID. Three public statements, each correcting and sugar-coating the previous one.

In Hwood, there are a million versions of the truth and none is true. Act like an adult and get over it.

Or become the next Ellroy and write novels about the Hwood of the 80s and 90s. The only catch is, you'd have to wait out the prescription period ;)

Ardith, I give you credit for all your due diligence in researching all the information. I give you credit for having you own opinion. I give you credit for voicing your opinion repeatedly and being unpertubed by others who vehemently disagree with you. That being said, it's my opinion that you only want to acknowledge your own version of what you believe to be true. You state you want Keanu to tell the truth about 20 years ago, but who really knows what the truth of the situation was except the parties involved. Were you present or involved? Did you witness the event and did he relate the event contrary to what you witnessed? Other members of the board have refuted your research with research of their own, and I must tell you I don't see truth in your conjecture. I think you have a very strong opinion or intuition, but nonetheless, it doesn't mean it's the truth. Why does it matter so much that you would obssess over his sexuality? How does Keanu's sexuality matter in your life that you would bring the subject up every chance you get? Lastly, why should he inform us of his sexuality? We aren't his family, his close circle, nor his lover. Has he hurt someone by not exposing his sexual preference?

Ardith, I am trying to see from your perspective and I hope that you can try to have a view from my perspective as well. Enjoy your holiday.

You only have to look at Keanu in his sex scenes...he is into women...he wants them...

Either he's a brilliant actor or straight...

I've seen him with some fans also, really looking into their eyes, he wants a connection...

In movies when men are close to him accidentally, you can see him pull away...

I've seen some pics of him from wolfboy and he isn't into it...at all...

He's straight...

Now, I'm sure he isn't gay.

Hello everyone :) I'm new here and thought I would toss out my thoughts on this subject

The Keanu Reeves that we see is a product. When marketing a product you wouldn't want to limit your target demographic. By remaining neutral on the topic of sexuality, the product can be used or is attrative to both men and women. This allows you to have a larger fan base and increase revenue.

Ok - dont freak out but....Other theories that I have seen, on other boards (I wish I could remember where) is that Reeves uses prostitutes on a regular basis. This allows him to um...ease his physical urges; without the huge time commitment that a relationship requires.

On the dude thing - isn't that part of his charm? Very intelligent, very well read, multi talented, etc but not in your face about it (no ego).

Stone acting - disagree with this assessment; as an example, the Neo from Matrix I was not the same Neo in Matrix III, this character evolved.

True.

But remaining schtum (mostly) is as likely to be a function of politics/principle.

Politics - lot of gays - esp. men in art, entertainment, media. He is bound to have at least a few gay close acquaintances, even friends.

Principle - confirmation/denial confers a default 'legitimacy' on nothing more than nosiness. Also confers a default 'legitimacy' on 'gay-as-slur': why deny what isn't actually a crime *as if it is *even when its *not* true?

Guess when push comes to *relentless* shove, even the strongest character buckles at times..and he has said nope.

Surely this is not beyond understanding by even your amoebal standards Ardrith?

Agreed dear Dr.

It seems that Ardith wants a black & white answer to a grey question. And really, who cares?!

From my perspective, any way you spin it, it would be a shared interest! He likes c*ck? Fabulous - so do I! He likes kitty? Oh fantastic - I have one! Actually I have three, but two of them meow. If the third one starts meowing then I have much bigger problems to worry about.

My apologies for the vulgarity.

As Keanu once said, he isn't a politician...he does not have to appeal to everyone...he needs the masses and I guess most of the masses are straight. The thing is...most all the other leading men have women in their lives, either real women or beards. Keanu is 48, not 23...time for him to stand up for himself and his friends.

Well, I have to agree - your felinological essay was at the edge... One of the edges, that I (personally) like a whole lot :D
About more serious matters - you write interesting things. Obviousely, you should find familliar souls here.
And , if you like piano music, can resist Slavonic influences, has certain academical background and live at the East Coast - you can have luck to meet few of them alive, may be?

Shut up Keanu's beard...do you even know what interview I'm quoting from?

It was politics as in...if he played a hustler it was his business because he was not a politician, so who cares?

Keanu's beard is the ugliest beard I have ever seen in my entire life. Just so you know.

I do indeed like piano music :) but no, I no longer live on the East Coast.

Perhaps, I misinterpreted your question? Are you asking me why I am "divided" or simply where am I from?:) I will answer both -

If you are familiar with the character of Ophelia from Hamlet, there are days when I relate. Other days when I resist, am torn, in conflict = divided. Two separate halves of a whole. Perhaps even more fractured than that. ;)

I live on the west coast of the United States.

And you? Tell me about the beauty of Belgium. I did not experience much in my 18hrs.

Welcome on board :)) I am sure you find many like-minded people.
You live in (or near) San Francisco?
When did you live in the East Coast?
