Like I said on the ugossip thread, I think Keanu has aged 10 years in the last 3. Whereas when he was 43 he looked 35, he is now 46 and looks 46. I like the way he looks, but others may see him as an aging burnout.

I wonder how much longer his star will last. He's already been around 25 years. That's a long time.

What happens to his career if Henry's Crime is a complete flop? What happens if 47 Ronin sucks? When was his last real box office success? He's not the choice of A-list directors, such as Brad Pitt. He has a very specific appeal, and if that is shown to be outdated, what then?

Even if this would happen, he would know, what to do. Having the right persons around him helps. Life is not only about being in front of the camera. Family and friends are there too. About aging: yes hes 46 and he looks good. I appreciate the fact, that hes not trying to hide the fact, that hes getting older.

He doesnt look still 46, he looks around 40 and he quite laughed from reaching 50. Maybe hes OK with that, maybe he has some purposes or persons in his life to feel good. I am happy for him, he smiles and he looks happy. As Just Right Now said - more things to come. Friends, family, mainly family, his sister, maybe a child at some point [I doubt he will marry or live with mother of his child], maybe another projects, he can do many things, he has pot of cash, but you cant flop in Hollywood with profile like he or Britney has. They will cast him for next movie, blockbuster, indie or flop. Men in Hollywood have better position with aging than women, they dont cast women over 30 into many roles, over 40 - they are history for them, which is horrible. What do you think is doing sexy Sharon Stone? Gym, kids, keeping fit and nice and jewellery contracts for print ads via her network from previous rich acting career. Did you see Dolce and Gabanna's ad with Keanus co-star from Street Kings? He isnt very much like Jen Lo out and about and he has good agent to find him some commercials. Getting good campaign or role isnt about casting couch, it is about networking, having good agency, agent or contacts via marketing or your social connections. Sharon Stone has it in Italy with her jewellery contracts and Dior. Eliza Sedounai knows Karl Lagerfeld, she was at HCs premiere. What does Jessica Simpson? If Keanu didnt start in commercials from his late 20s, Jessica Simpson has no new song for ages, all movies flops, so...she sold her name as franchise for accessorie and clothing line, she makes nice bucks. Compared to Keanu, we see her often in the press or online.

H'wood may be about "right now". i.e., filling .....

Keanu has always been about 'the part' and what He brings to [it].

One is superficial,(money,) one has depth.

KR has been about acting/depth.

Why do people have to keep complicating this ideology?

I think at a certain point in his career Reeves will move behind the camera. He's already started that transition.
After all, in his own words, "it's always been about telling stories".
And he will always be telling stories, one way or another. or several ;)

HE STILL HAS ALL HIS HAIR! No big surprise here, I think he is very sexy... i wouldn't place an age on him. His soul is still a kid. What I have noticed as far as aging is one thing... he seems a little stiffer (used his bones too much for one life time). i find him graceful in the manner he moves. i like watching him move, listening to him speak, looking into his eyes, lol, starting to sound like a Harequin novel. I drove past his house yesterday (I know, I'm bad news), i was just curious. It's home to him, but on the outside it's missing warmth. I'm sure the last thing he wants is to make it look inviting since so many strangers wander around, but I would one day love to see him in a house with a lawn, and windows facing the street. Something to cherish... an open life. Maybe that wouldn't be safe for him, but man would that be nice to see.

He appears to have been blessed with incredible genes. He appears ageless to me. I have two friends like him; they are ageless. I don't like to put an age on someone. There are youthful & vibrant 80 year olds and aged 40 year olds. Genetics play a part, a healthy lifestyle and embracing life. In my opinion, Keanu Reeves looks
spectacular. Yes, he appears to be heading more in the direction of writing and directing. I think he has insight and also understands the 'Hollywood' world and is preparing which direction is best for him.

Actors never seem to give up acting.. they take breaks and re-invent themselves.

Look at Daniel Day Lewis. I dunno, I thought he was off the scene for a while but he recently came back with that Oscar winner.

I don't think Keanu will write or direct myself, it just doesn't strike me as his thing, although I would be very curious to see anything that he did work on to such a devoted level.

He certainly is a very unusual person and would probably be capable of some amazing story creation. However I suspect his has a desire to not share deeper elements of himself with the world. Almost as though he is ashamed of who he really is.

About his age. I haven't seen to many recent pictures of him, and once I know how old someone is - I can never get it out of my mind to accurately 'age' them independently.

I think he is still a very beautiful man and he ages gracefully, but the thing about ageing is no matter how good you may look for your age, you could never pass as a spring chicken, sad but true...and we usually tend to forget not only the body but also the soul ages...

I'm not saying this in a negative way, this is called maturity, we all arrive there sooner or later and it doesn't necessarily mean we shouldn't get our inner child once in a while, imho Keanu is finally experiencing the age of maturity after a fabulous journey in the wild side, he is still fit, up'n rolling, he must have stored enough exuberance of youth inside his soul, yet again I bet he starts to feel his age now and hopefully this new episode of his life will bring him more creativity and he will pursue many projects, he won't be afraid to try his hand in his other endeavours, fasten the seat belts and get ready for another era of Keanu awesomeness ;)) That's how I feel about his age...

He has lived a very full life. I wonder if he feels like he's seen it all, lived it all?

I assume Keanu is charatable which is nice but he never makes a political statement...except about Global warming.

When he was young, he was a hedonist so naturally he couldn't make a political statement but he could make some kind of statement at this point. We have been betrayed by deregulation of our finantial institutions. Our government has not protected us and has not thrown the scum/thieves in prison...where they belong. Couldn't Keanu and other stars, who have a voice, speak up for justice?

That's a lovely thought, sometimes I wish he would be more vocal about his poitical opnions but I don't see Keanu doing it, not bec he doesn't care or he supports the gov but bec he prefers to do things silently, he simply is not an activist or a spokesperson ihe does good discreetly, sometimes I think of there was a way to promote movies without making a public appearance at TV shows, answering the same stupid ( sorry but most of them stupid) questions over and over again, he would definitely go for it...

On a separate note, I think he is actually making some sort of political statement with some of his movies, A Scanner Darkly is a great one ...

Let's not forget that Keanu Reeves is not an US citizen and he still needs a Green Card to be able to live and work in the US.
that doesn't go too well with open political statements ;)

Even though I wasn't crazy about The Day The Earth Stood Still...it made a strong political staement. Can't trust the government. After the way they sold us to large and powerful corporations...I don't see how anyon could doubt that.
