I've never heard that song before. I was in grade 6 in '76 .!!!

Happy early birthday, bungeegee. Luca is right. The 30's are different in a cool sort of way. Totally new life experiences. Embrace them.:0)

Ya well, I was in high school in 76.

Back at ya.(1976)

Which somehow lead to high school graduation(1980)

which lead to a variation(2008)

And just cause.

I may be old (especially today) and crazy (but I still have only two cats so don't judge yet) but I am still very weird. And I am old enough to finally know that is okay.

My husband is a child of the 80's. He loves Scorpion, Depeche Mode, and so much more. Here is another of his favorite from back then:

BTW, he still thinks the English bands in the 80's are the best.

As for age, I will hit a big milestone this year and it's the first time I am starting to feel my age.

Enjoy!

I loved the intro to Black Symphony, Lizaird! Thank you!

Artemismoon, my husband is a headbanger and loves the English bands, too. But he was born ... before the 80's, LMAO.

Actually, I enjoy quite a few English bands myself... ;0)

The Monks:

Adam and the Ants:

Duran Duran

etc., etc.

I can't believe how time flies.

Nice to hear from ya Andromeda!

My musical tastes have always leaned toward the "minor keys" so to speak. A while back I was curious about numbers. You always hear about here in north america, and that amounts to 10 or 20 million - but there is 7 billion people in the world and I was curious to hear what the rest of the world is listening to.

As well being a musician myself - I have a bit more respect for a band that has more emphasis on complex musical endeavors - hence that piece "the Black Symphony - if ya get a chance check out the concert footage further.

But I am always on the hunt for something interesting. I am very partial to soundtracks.

Yes, I love Scorpions, Depeche Mode etc..

But i'm 31 years old and i must say that my 30th birthday felt like 50th birthday - i was so depressed no kidding and in my 30's i feel like time is slipping through my fingers.

Lizaird, I will be 40 this fall. I remember partying with friends on my 21st birthday and we were all commenting about enjoying the moment now because when you hit 30 it's all downhill. How naive we were. I didn't bat my eyes when 30 came. I was too busy raising my little ones and running my business. Age is just a number, but this year the number 40 has me pausing to think a bit. If I am having a midlife crisis then I am buying the sports car - I love the classics (cobra w/Shelby motor or the Mercedes), but the new Audi R8 is so sexy. When you drive a minivan all day, you begin to have big dreams.

30 is so young. Happy 30th to you Bungeegee. Enjoy-

When I was in my early 20's I dreaded the big 30, but it came and went and it didn't hurt one bit. 31 is still so young.

Regarding age and milestones... Be grateful for birthdays. They're a blessing when you think what the alternative could be. One sick friend can put it all in perspective.:0(

So embrace your good health and occasion to be with loved ones in happy times.
