My pet peeve at the best of times is people who dispose of their tissue in shopping carts and just leave them there. It's a DISGUSTING act. So is spitting. I was at a wedding this summer and one of the bridesmaids was spitting non-stop. There she was *gorgeous* with her hair done, in a beautiful dress, standing on a patio with friends and having a drink... and she was hauling on a cigarette and then spitting (on the patio!!) after every.single.haul and in-between. What class. I hate taking the dog for a walk around here b/c of the school we're next to. The kids spit all the time and all Bobby wants to do is stop and check it out. It makes my stomach turn. We still have bye laws on record forbidding spitting from the tuberculosis era. I'm not big on gov't but that would be one bye law worth enforcing, esp. right now.
I am surrounded by men at work. They have this annoying habit of not just spitting, but they have to hack the phlegm up their throat and then spit it out. The sound they make and just the thought of the phlegm makes me gag. Yuck!

The general word is that shooting is scheduled to begin Nov 9 - next week. I hope this is true because I am sure he would like to get something going.

Recent news reports back this up because the alloted space given to the production crew was said to be early november.

Guess we will have to wait and see. I wonder if this means shaving ? That would be kinda weird. Having a beard for so long then woops all gone back to work.

Thanks for the links, beck!:0) But none of them are working. Do you have to be a member? I tried their search engine but nothing Henry's Crime related came up.

Sooooo, I was talking with my girlfriend whom I set up with my h.s. friend. Those little vixens had a dinner/movie date last night. LOLOL~~!!

All I can say is that she is so into him. And knowing him,(believe you me, he wouldn't fake it for a lay) he is so into her.

Her estranged father-in-law just died so she had to drive three hours to the funeral (3 hrs there 'n back with the kids (for the kids, she wouldn't have bothered otherwise)) before the date.

Him: I thought you said you were in the car for six hours.

Her: I was.(Me: Then stuck on the Queensway in stop-in-go traffic b/c of an accident for 45 minutes (that constitutes a big accident in Ottawa))

Him: You don't look like you've been in a car all day.... You look lovely.

Okay so some jaded people might be looking for a bucket, but I know this guy. He wouldn't say sh*t just to make you feel good.(She's a *very* yummy mummy LOL I doubt this guy is getting any sleep, LOLOL... of course he's nothing to bark at either.)

Not bad for a first time fix up if I do say so myself!

I thought it was this week he and I were doing lunch, but it's next week. I told her if she could get her presentation moved to Friday she could have my lunch date. hee, hee, hee.. She's all worried that he'd be disappointed it wasn't me having lunch with him.

Helllloooooo?!??!! As if.... Andromeda who???!??!!??

Oh, silly girl.

If you decide to set up a dating service sign me up. My requirements are a little outdated. I would like to meet someone with old values - integrity, honesty, kind, intelligent, hard working, and maybe just a hint of mischieveousness. I had better call my fairy godmother and have her whip one up.

We must each find our own way. I didn't start dating until my college years (very strict parents and very late bloomer). My very first date was with a guy from class. I agreed to go out with Wehim because he had the courage to ask me out (I was considered new and elusive, but I was really just plainfully shy). Well, he wasn't attractive at all (my girlfriends called him butt ugly), but I didn't care. I just wanted to meet someone nice. Well, it didn't work out after three dates. He was a total gentlman, but he wasn't himself. He kept boasting (pet peeve - can't stand boasting) about materialistic things. Well, I continued to date but I discovered they there were some very nice guys out there and eventually I kind of settled on one really nice guy, but it didn't make me truly happy because now I realize there has to be chemistry. By chemistry I don't mean just sex but at an intellectual and spiritual level also. My friends tell me I am crazy to want more, but I can't help I how feel - there's not enough of a connection. Sorry, I am just in one of my mood this evening. I am the typet that would fall in love with the dragon instead of the prince, wouldn't you? The prince has family, friends, and an entire kingdom to love him, but the poor lonely dragon...

You´re a sensitive person and I´m sure, someone will see you as a precious gift once a day (not the poor lonely dragon)...Don´t be sad, just keep in mind, that good things take sometimes longer than expected. Don´t close yourself.

I totally get what you're saying SimplyJane. Time is so precious. The worst thing you could ever do is "settle" for what your friends think is GOOD ENOUGH for you. My thinking is hey, "Good enough for me? You mean good enough for you! YOU marry him if he's good enough."

Stick to your guns.:0) You're not being unreasonable.

This thing between my friends, it all boiled down to timing. That's it. I've known him since h.s. her since '89 and the first time they met was when I fixed them up a week ago after chit-chatting via email for a week. She was actually going to tell me to forget it. His first instinct was to decline the offer for the blind date because he was sick of everyone setting him up and then disappointing (mostly his friends' wives/girlfriends) because he wasn't into their friends, LOLOL... I had to convince him that I had zero expectation.

So there you go. You never know when opportunity knocks. And the moral of the story is, say yes to all blind dates! hahaha... Who knows where they'll end up. It's only been a couple of weeks. But I do know that there is no way they could be anything less than great friends.:0)

You know guys, there are some Topix links for Buffalo not coming up in the right-hand side, i.e., "Hunky Keanu Reeves In Buffalo Again". Not sure why they're not popping up in the KR forum, though.

Just thought I'd let you all know!
